I don't know how much you guys have heard of this artist, but I have been featuring him on my mixes whenever I can. He (or she?) appears on random Japanese combilations, especially REDALiCE's older Alice's Emotion and on Hardcore Tano*C, aswell as Minamotoya's own label, Minamotrance.

In My opinion, this is really an artist who is hit or miss. His older stuff is fairly trance influenced, the little gabber he makes is superb, his UK Hardcore is good when it contains a bar minimum of electro or dub influences, and his breakbeaty stuff is, well I never really like that stuff.

If you haven't heard my mixes, here is a few samples on youtube:

So, what do you guys think?

Like you said, a bit hit and miss. My favourite track from Minamotoya has to be Stasis. Powerful track.

It was on one of the early Hardcore Syndromes.

Good tunes from this artists. My favorite is "Into the Night"

Thanks for sharing more work from him. Definitely worth checking him out if you haven't!

I generally prefer his older stuff than the current ones.

Stasis & Blue Sky are my all-time favorite, and Into The Night is something that I don't mind listening to every now and then.

I would prefer him to do more breakbeat-style hardcore tracks or dnb instead of the dubcore stuff as I feel that he fits and handles percussion arrangements better than the dubby tracks.
