Hey good find. And i bloody knew there was rave in 92, i knew i was right. haha, i'm not getting old. Also the fact i found an old hardcore tape dated 90/91, name is scrubbed off for some obscure reason but still i was right. heh.

Anyway, interesting find again.

You got whacked cuz you're weak!

I don't know anythin bout N-Trance but "Set you Free" by them is defintly a anthem and hixxy did a hardcore remix of it and plus more it feature kelly llorena who covered heart of gold recently.

I think set you free classes as rave/dance not sure about their others though like D.I.S.C.O by them, i remember the original of that Dee eye Ess See Ohh.
that'ss not rave atall jus shit.

What about "Smart E's Seasame's Treat" DJ Liquid "Harmony" "Prodigy Charly". 4 Hero had a load of tunes in the charts, so did Altern8. Children of the night made number 36 i think. Shades Of Rythm aswell There is a lot from around 1992 - 1994 oldskool hardcore much like the Baby D tunes that were big in the charts :-)

N-Trance's Tune Set You Free has been released in the uk charts 3 or 4 times under the same name but only got its major good position being number 1 last year when it was reralesed yet again, that song has had so many releases under the same name I can't remeber every year it was released the first was 1991 i think :-)

Thanks for finding all that out, it was interesting. Hardcore has never seen the charts in America unfortunately. I would say less then 1% of the country even knows what happy hardcore is, they probably think it's like British porn or something.

Anyway, Set You Free is totally class, one of my all time favourite songs. I heard a new remix of it at the Slammin' Vinyl party, can anyone tell me what label it's on?

It's been quite some years (around 1998 I guess) that happy hardcore was in the charts here in Holland... But around 1995-1997 it was REALLY popular here and a lot of tracks reached high places in the charts like

* charly lownoise & mental theo - wonderfull days (1995)
* dj paul elstak - like is like a dance (1995)
* dj paul elstak - luv u more (1995)
* party animals - have you ever been mellow (1996)
* party animals - aquarius (1996)
* tokyo ghetto pussy - i kiss your lips (1995)
and tons more tracks by artists like the ones mentioned above, scooter, etc...
