I've only recently discovered Bananaman, but got to say i love the tunes from him and Gisbo at the moment. Catchy, great vocals, great melody...this is the direction the scene should go, with this sound.

I have to say I am not a big fan of the work he has been producing with Gisbo, whereas I absolutely love everything he produced with DJ Fade. Not saying he is isn't a talented producer or anything, just my opinion.

They've made 1 or 2 tracks that can be enjoyed, but most has been proper.. well sh*t. Still they've only just begun. Still waiting for Gisbo to try making his own sound :P

Sorry to turn this in to a Fade & Bananaman thread but "One For The Ladies" is one of the best there is! Alongside "Please Be Mine", of course, and pretty much all of the Silk Cuts, ha. I've got "OFTL" on vinyl but it's not on Youtube anymore (to share with those that haven't heard it before).

I don't see the point in comparing his music now to his mid-90's stuff. While I like the older stuff, it has been made classic by age. I don't think they're particularly better written or have better sung vocals than his music now, so unless you expect him to start producing 90's-sounding happy hardcore again, I think you can lay off the heat. The guy's come back to the music, been making happy vocal stuff, and for the past few months I've seen nothing but flaming on the new stuff and comparisons to the old stuff.
Face it, he won't produce music that sounds like music from 20 years ago. I think it's a case of take it or leave it. If it's not your cup of tea, don't talk about it. He's one of few who've come back, so don't let him think that was a mistake :|

rofl, this got me thinking of that other "good or bad" thread, where someone took the piss to complain about Scott Brown still producing the same shit that he did 10 years ago. We still want him to do it :P

Well yeah be we like it because classics are timeless, but they're never 'classic' as soon as they're released. They become classic through retrospect and nostalgia. To compare anything to a 'classic' track is unfair in my opinion. In 20 years, we might look back at the music being released now and all agree that some of it's classic.

Give the new stuff a chance :)
Well most of these classic where new to me when I got into Hardcore, so that answer is kinda moot on me.
