will CD1 be 2014 mixes of said named tracks?
Some are "new", some have been hanging around for a while (Groove Control, I am looking at you! )
Some confirmed, previously unreleased, tracks include:
Ham, Demo & Justin Time feat Becks- Here I Am (F&D Remix) <- 2013
JDS - Higher Love(F&D's "Electrifed" Mix) <- 2012
DJ Seduction - In The Mix (Darwin Remix) <- 2013/4
Darwin & Donna - Groove Control 2014 (previous versions from 09 and 12 exist)
DJ Demand - Stay With Me (Darwin Remix) <- 2011
Triple J - Have It All (Al Storm Remix) <- 2014
Chwhynny - Thoughts & Smiles <- 2014
There are a fair few others, as yet unheard.
Once we have closer-to-final tracklists, we can have another look at formatting. Some of the remixes featured in the DJ mixes will then feature, unmixed, on artist albums over the summer. One unmixed CD may, therefore, be enough. We shall see!
As for this being a series.... I wouldn't rule it out. HOWEVER, the reason this volume is relatively easy to compile to a high standard, is that there is a LOT of existing high quality remixes languishing around. So we handily avoid the writing-to-spec mentality that can seriously compromise projects such as this.
If we wanted to do a second volume we would essentially be starting from scratch, and there aren't many modern producers who I think can balance the essence of the original (track or style) with production standards palatable to current tastes. Given that HU should be about driving the genre forward, it would be remiss of us to spend toooooo much time rehashing old stuff or wilfully operating in a creatively constrained setting. Future volumes would depend on the same petri-dish environment being attained naturally, rather than artificially. I certainly don't have a volume 2 anywhere on a roadmap. That said, if it's a stunning success and inspires a bunch of people to do really high quality stuff in that vein..... *shrugs*.
The real focus here is making HHU great as a stand-alone. If it does turn out to be a one-off fun experiment, it better be one that can stand the test of time as the inspirations behind it have.

Claxton: I had previously cleared Toytown remix but only for in a mix, not separately. This didn't jibe with the original digital bundle idea. Shall endeavour to at least attain the same here.
Samination: not on this project. Have some ideas, in a more general sense. Feel free to start shortlisting sought after things.
