Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone knew of any 'up-to-date' hardcore production packs (not bothered which website they're from as long as it's legal and supports Logic Pro X / Apple Loops). I have Sy & Unknown's hardcore essentials pack from Loopmasters but there's only so much you can do with that. I was after something which can give my production the post-2012 hardcore sound, kind of like what you'd hear from Futureworld Records if that makes sense?
If anyone could help me with this I'll owe you one when I'm a famous hardcore producer

Not hardcore specific but a huge amount of the FW stuff is from the Vengeance Essential Dubstep pack.

The Sy & Unknown pack is actually my favourite hardcore pack, mostly just because of the perc loops.
I second Dys7's suggestion, pretty much everyone in hardcore has raped Vengeance for ages, even before the newer sound came in.
The drums in hardcore packs are no better than stuff you can find in mainstream packs. The pre-recorded synth samples in some of them are just silly. Overall, they don't really offer much that isn't either unusable or available in abundance elsewhere.
Basically, don't bother looking for packs for modern hardcore. They don't really exist and, even if they did, they probably wouldn't offer much.

If you want to make up to date stuff, Vengeance Essential Dubstep is great but drum and bass sample packs work pretty well too. I have made a few Massive patches that emulate some of the futureworld basses from the likes of Styles and Gammer. (Two of the patches I've made I've actually named "Darren Styles Bass" and "Gammer Bass" respectively). I can upload them if anyone is interested.

If you're interested, the Hardcore Underground guys, a year ago, released an HU Sample Pack. It contains some drums, loops aswell as stabs that were also used by the productions from Fracus & Darwin.

These are 2010'ish which might not be too obsolete:
http://www.canyoufeelitmedia.com/master.php?page=media&t=4 as for vengeance, try VEC 4. That and the other sample packs mentioned in this thread should have you covered.

Firstly, thanks for all the feedback guys!
brodster - I totally agree, Drum & Bass sample packs are mainly what go into my production especially the 'June Miller' pack on Loopmasters which can give your production a real nice dark feel to it if you wanted to go down that route.
dys7 - I will have a look at Vengeance samples. I was in the studio with Joey Riot last year and he recommended Vengeance but I completely forgot about it, I trust it supports Apple Loops?
Elliott - I really like the drum loops from Sy & Unknown's pack too, they're good to start with for a new producer like myself, and in regards to the pre-recorded synth samples I only look for patches to play in my sampler... Can't be using samples I haven't made myself even if it is 'producer legal'!
On the same note, can anyone recommend any plug-ins which are kind of vital for me? I haven't bought any but some of the native-instruments stuff catches my eye...
Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to ask:
Do vengeance samples include patches that work in EXS24 for Logic Pro X does anyone know? It doesn't specify it anywhere.

I'm not very good at sound design so it would be interesting to see what you've done. :)

Vengeance samples come as wav samples. Most hardcore producers arrange their drums in audio rather than use software samplers.

All you really need is NI Massive and perhaps Sylenth 1, as that's basically what everyone uses. I'll upload some Massive patches later for you guys to try out.
Also, you really shouldn't feel bad about using samples in your productions, those multi-sampled basses, stabs, and synths are pretty useful either by themselves or for layering. Just focus on making music that you enjoy and that you think other people will enjoy

I'm pretty sure all the Essential Clubsound packs have ESX24.

The sample packs are just that: Samples. Specifically in .wav format which is universal in the sampler world, meaning they can be loaded into any sampler.
EDIT: Sorry. The thought just occurred to me that you may be asking about this since the Sy & Unknown pack come with the sampler patches already mapped out for ESX24/Kontakt/etc. In which case the answer is no. The vengance packs are just folders full of .wavs

Hi FDB,
That is what I meant, but I only just learnt yesterday how to put a .wav sound into my EXS24 sampler and play it in different keys (this is how new I am to production, so if anyone can throw tips my way via personal message I'd really appreciate it).
All you guys who have replied in this topic have helped me loads, thank you x 1,000,000

I just looked. There is an ESX24 folder in Vengeance Club Sounds 2.
