I think cream will always rise to the top when it comes to talent. As long as labels and established promoters give them a chance. Is alot of talent out there, especially with the new sound comming through the scene.

Cream SOMETIMES rises to the top. Otherwise it's just promoters deciding who THEY want to be the next big thing and forcing them on us until it's accepted.

Some MC's really make me laugh,
don't understand how to use a paragraph.
Can't knock their talent cos i won't be mean,
but it helps if it's your mates running the scene!

If I was in anyway important, I would make sure you're were the number one MC in the scene. That is a SICK rhyme!!

I fully agree with your post DMS. Certain people are fast tracked. I think Klubfiller was a perfect example of this. The problem is, many ravers just accept this and follow who they're told are good.

It's not like there isn't a point to what he is saying, but when he types like an utter cunt it's hard to take it seriously. I'm not a grammar nazi or anything but trying to make a valid point with something so pissing difficult to read doesn't inspire much confidence.
I'm sure he has an army of fans willing to disagree, of course.

I am... That post takes around 10 minutes just to decipher. Maybe I could trade some English tutoring in exchange for a booking.

It's not even as though he is dyslexic, he chooses to type like an utter johnson, which makes me respect his points even less. Sorry if that sounds snobbish, but it's one thing if someone simply can't type (my mrs is dyslexic and deciphering her typing is a right pain), and another if they won't use proper grammar. Can you imagine if doctors, politicians, teachers, etc did that?
Anyway, I'm going way off topic here, my apologies.

So to sum up, if an uneducated plank thinks you are good then you will make it, stupid people are running the scene?

Every so often an MC will attempt to write - albeit poorly - their opinion on the scene. It's just formulated. It'll begin with what people think, then it'll go into how they're wrong, then they'll divulge into their opinion about their own events, then they'll drop names that they work with on a regular basis.

Who the **** is Terry, anyway? :D

Terry Slemmen. Runs 'Ravers' with Keyes I think and 'We Are Hardcore'.

Anyway, surely MCs should be the most poetic people in the scene and therefore the best written? After all they're writing lyrics and that must demand a good range of vocabulary?

I imagine he's sat writing on a scroll with a feather dipped in ink, whilst wearing a cloak and a beret, and curly shoes, all whilst twiddling a long and thin moustache.
