It's not the name that matters. It's the music behind the name. If you really want to look up something cool in the thesaurus and find a synonym for it.

I think that the name is of very little importance, but it should be something that has meaning behind it for you. The personality behind the name is very important, but in my opinion the most impotant thing that defines a D.J. is the music they mix. Thats why silver is my favorite D.J.. The happy hard core he mixes allows me to close my Eyes and feel the Joy flow through me. While I'm listening to his mixes I can imagine myself raving.

It doersn't really matter about name, but it does help to have something that sounds hard, so people remember it easier and you get more of a cult following.

Using ur real name does sound too much like a house dj, but Robbie Jay is alright. It maybe too much in association with Darren Jay though.

i aint a dj - but u could have a double act with an MC and call urselves Lock and Key - DJ LOCK and MC KEY - rude! or just pick a noun out the dictonary like - shelf (not very imaginative i know!) or Pixal - i reckon u find any with a X in it ur sorted!

as for a dj name, it should find you. i used 2 not even have a name, just played at parties and shit for friends, always had a good time. then one day at a house party my buddy was throwing, with like 80something pplz. i put on a really trick set and when i was done some random chick came up and was like "hey DJ Dont Stop" :D i was like O.o Sick :D
