^^ actually pacman it's already working in tandem with the post-rank system. The hardcore points system works on the number of hardcore items (as recognised in the database) that you claim to own and is represented by the "Owns x-number of HappyHardcore releases" bit in the side panel ... I think (correct me if I'm wrong here).
Thing is, it's even easier to cheat on that system than it is to whore yourself for stars, but the fact that it's not as prominent as the ranking means no-one's got the incentive to do so yet.
