Made a New Years Resolution to put up at least one new track a month this year, and I'm, just barely making the deadline today! Here's my remix of Jakazid - Movin' To This. Let me know what you think, comments and critique always welcome. :)

It doesnt really sound as powerful as the original, but if you ever get much better at productiong, do revisit this track ;)

pretty awesome. i personally like how it sounds a lot more bouncy than the original, which was pretty heavy on the kick and bass

Yeah, I'm still trying to improve the kick and bass, I'm just not really sure how to go about. I'm sure at least one of my bass layers is fighting with another one and losing some breadth, I've just got to do some digging and spend some time working it out. Just not really sure what I'm looking for though.

It's a nice remix. Those vocals could be louder and a good master would do it the world of good. Good work though :)

Depending on how many layers your bass has just mute them all and introduce each layer one at a time and you should be able to see which one is causing the trouble, a good spectrum analyser will work too see what frequencies are going mad.

That's what I need, a good spectrum analyzer. Got any recommendations?

http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/ Try this, It's what I use. You can also use it as a band pass filter to hear specific frequencies. Useful for mixing bass.

Voxengo is the one i use but they all lretty much do the job. Search spectrum analyser vst in google and it brings up plenty to buy. Some are free too.
