i really want to start dj'ing, and am considering gettin a numark pack for my birthday.
2 x Numark TT-1650 direct drive decks
1 x Numark DM950 mixer
Cartridges, slipmats, leads, headphones
and a free record bag.
Price: £319.00
1: is this worth it? (£350s the highest i can afford)
2: are numarks any good (specially for scratching)
3: don't say save for technics or vestax cuz i wana start before 2007 :P!

id go with that for a starter package! but b4 u but em make sure you have a look round for some second hand 1210s or something. even tho they are second hand they last forever!

don't expect numark decks to last more than a few years. other than that they're not bad. i'd go for second hand 1210's or at least gemini pt series coz by the time you're good enough,those decks will be cream crackered and you'll get nothing back for them.

I agree with evry1 else.
try 2get some 2nd hand better decks coz i myself have been thinking of upgrading & have had many offers for technics 1210/1200's for £300.Just look around before you buy.
@ the end of the day it's your choice but they won't be a good investment.

I myself have that exact same package and I must say that I am pleased with it for a starter package. They've been pretty reliable and the only problem i have had with them is that I had to get one of the decks replaced because the platter was dragging on one side. I have used 1200s and if you have the money you should definitely go with them instead, but yeah personally i think it's a pretty good buy.

ive gone thru two numark mixers
and my decks were bad when i got em, there apauling now
(3 years on)
so id recomend to go for citronic starter decks, peopl i know with those have had no problem
and possibly a gemini mixer, not sure on budget mixers which are actualy good...
