It still make me laugh everytime i read the score.

Can't England beat Australia in any sport?

Firstly Australia kicks arse in the cricket (Ashes), then then tennis (Davis Cup) and now in the football, albeit a friendly, but its still a victory.

Just thought id rub it in while i had the chance

Actually, it looked to me like we were playing your front-line squad (theoretically at least ) for the first half (when we scored 2 goals to your squat).

3 -1 to the socceroos, 3-1 to the socceroos, 3-1 to the socceroos, 3-1 to the socceroos.

And now with Australia getting direct qualification, providing we beat New Zealand, we too will be in every World Cup. I am looking forward to the matches already and hope that we meet England so they have no excuses.

The win comes at a time when Australian football needed it. With money problems, not much interest in the national competition and the national side not qualifying for the World Cup. I still find it hard to believe that we beat England in England. This comes on top of defeating France at home and Brazil in the Confederations Cup. But , the win against England tops them all.

It was a friendly, but, your playing for your country and there are no excuses. Australia outplayed England, simple as that.

Errr Yeah Our home turf......right Upton-Park possibly one of the crappest grounds in the country...also no-wonder we didn't win, Upton-Park blatently has a curse on it this season....The curse is the home team's not allowed to win there.

Maybe it just has something to do with Westham just being that god damn shit ... they are in the relegation zone remember. But if believing that curse allows u to sleep at night, then so be it.

England population vs Australia population
in percentage it works out that 3%of the poms are sport active
