what is the deal with the star colors? i notice there are light blue and grey and red and yellow and green and stuff, it seems independant of the amount of posts though, anyone know what this represents? if that has been brought up could someone direct me to the thread?

For posting members, both the number of stars and their colour is dependent on the number of posts:
1 Green = New Member (20-79)
2 Blue = Junior Member (80-149)
3 Purple = Average Member (150-249)
4 Red = Senior Member (250-499)
5 Orange (Bronze) = Advanced Member (500+)
And then you've got what other forums would call the Forum Leader ranks, which have the number of stars corresponding to post-count, but with colours depending on ranking:
Grey (Silver) = Moderator
Yellow (Gold) = Administrator
eg. me being a moderator gives me grey stars, and my 1600-odd posts means I get 5 of them.
