nah i think the two age groups should be kept seperate, for example, under 18's dedicate raves and over 18's dedicated raves....that way it works out for everyone regardless of age, well in some ways anyway, cos u dont need booze to have a blinder! altho it does make the night a bit more interesting heh :p
just my opinion....

I think there should be 21+ events where the old-skool massive can get together and spend a whole night bitching about how good it used to be "back in the day" before all the newbies came in an ruined it for everybody.
Of course, then the newbies'd turn 21 eventually, and then they'd come in and ruin it for everybody again.

yeah i agree mate. i know there are a few younger people on here so dont take this the wrong way but when im out i dont want a load of kids running around! i wanna go out and rave!
i remember i went to a open air rave in the new forest last summer and a load of kids turned up proper pilled up. they couldnt have been more than 14. it wasnt so much that i think they should'nt have been there at all its just seeing them all outa their heads was just scary. they were only kids after all and thats not the thing i really want to see when im out ravin!!

Welcome Clair, Welcome Gometal2002 hope you have some fun
To take into account is the promoters, if they do a feasibility study on all ages events compared to 18+, they're not gunna worry about what the ravers think about the situation.

They wont loose out on money, therefore they will continue to run open age events.

I think that 16 should be the minimum age required for a rave. I don't like seeing kids younger than that at a party.

Here, most parties are open age, but there's always a 19+ area, so if the younger people start to get to me I can run away. I like this idea, because not all ppl under 19 are all that bad. I've met alot of really decent people in that age group.
I don't drink, but i get my wristband anyways so i have the option of going in that room. however, i spend most of my time in the main room with the younger people. I dunno... maybe the younger people around here are different.

this is a quote from a email that was sent to a list that i am on. this was at a utopia rave in sydney (all ages)
.......so we asked one of the lil chopper
girls (who was vibrating around in the bathrooms)
"how many pills have you had?"
she answers, "i am on my fourth, but i have two left".
it was like 1-2am.
we ask: "how do you afford it??"
answer: my boyfreind pays for them, he is way older, so he can afford it"
next question: "do you go to raves often?"
answer: "been going for a few weeks now"
q: "where does your mum think you are?"
a: "at my freinds place for a sleep over" -she pointed to her freind who
was in tears and looking very messy.
i realise that this is one case and age isnt the best judge of maturity and that not all ppls do drugs but i do think that Virus had the right idea in saying that raves should be 16+ at least by that stage u have had some life experances and as a rule have some what more understanding of how the world works + the fact that if one does chose to do norti stuffs they are not goin to be doing "as" much harm as in a 12 or 13 year old
my thoughts
GregE
well that is my oppinion
GET THAT FOOKING HAIR CUT!!!! (Dj UFO)
