I'm getting tierd of simply mixing straight and was looking at some effects pads or "kaos pads". Thing is whenever I read about them I'm blinded by jargon and basically have no idea how one would influence or affect what you do while DJing.

Can someone help me clear this up please? I know I'm daft!

I was thinking of producing but I'm not exactly made of money so I figured to take things bit by bit.

Dave!

I'd encourage you to start producing. You don't need any money to do that really. All you need is a computer and a few programs that you can burn off a friend. Fruity Loops, Cubase, & Reason are fairly good.

None of my friends have them or intentions to produce!

Plus there's so much software out there, one person tells me to get Reason, another Cubase, another Sound Forge. If I were to post a question about which software to get I'd get the same response. Maybe I should get all three so I'm not missing anything lol.

Fruityloops is probably the best for ease of use.
But that's all i have ever really used, so i'm just going on what other people have said.

Yeah that's why i never use them :P The 909 samples are not too bad, but i still wouldn't use them. I just import my own.
But i'm not complaining :P
