Definitely more distortion on the kicks. And more creeping acid lines that sneak up on you and get right in your face before you even know what hit ya.

personally, i love the hardcore scene how it is.. there is a huge variety already and i really just want the producers to keep doing what they are doing, the tunes are wicked.

If your having the techno back in hardcore then it would have to be the Old Skool Techno. The new stuff is just too heavy to incorperate into a hardcore mix. Though Scott Brown manages it pretty well.
