eh... umm... I'm a newbie, I know, and I don't want to overstep m'bounds, but I'd just like to say that I find this forum to be very informative and that really sets it apart from a lot of other forums I've checked out. So, I don't really see a problem with mods locking topics that have been done already. I don't think it's intimidating, really. It just means that if I'm gonna start a new topic I should doublecheck to make sure it hasn't been done, and make sure it's something that is actually worthy of discussion. Also, I would suggest not only locking them, but deleting them; simply for the fact that locked topics just take up space since you can't really discuss anything on them.

^^^ it's good to hear from some new people about this instead of just us... i agree locked topics should be culled, but you'd have to wait for a little while, like do it after a month or something??
