Open this link, I found it yesterday, its the REAL facts on what MDMA does to your brain. You will be surprised what Mdma really does.

I'll try shorten up the complicated slideshow on this link.

When you take Mdma(ecstasy) your Serotonin levels are stimulated (Serotonin is a neurotransmitter and controls your everyday functions, ie mood, sleeping patterns, appetite..etc)
So there for your mood is picked up and you are "peaking"
When mdma leaves the system, Most of your Serotonin has been used, there for your normal funtions are impared, Sleeping, appetite, mood swings.

No one is yet to prove if Mdma is related to neurotoxicity (Brain Damage) or long term effects.

Read the slide show carefully, its a bit complicated and may take an hour but this is the most interesting thing i have ever read to date.

Go in a raver, come out a xtc neuro surgen.

Say what you want, I still think the best website for information on psychoactive substances is Erowid.

It had to be done.

Well, no-one "needs a website to tell them how their monged head feels" but it can't hurt to know why it feels that way, and what other (perhaps not immediately noticeable) effects these substances have on your mind and body.

It's also good for when you're thinking of trying a substance for the first time and you want to be fully informed as to what to expect in terms of effect, side-effect, comedowns, long-term ramifications, etc., before you take it (or not).

It had to be done.

I've seen it before. I didn't see anything in there that I haven't already read before, but then I've done a bit more reading on the subject than most people.

It had to be done.

You should always know the effects of whatever type of drug it is you may be taking. An informed decision is always better than an uninformed one.

Also, i agree with strychnine in that Erowid is probably a better site, but hey, you can never know too much about the effects drugs have on the body.

yeah i would say erowid is one of the best resources around. strych is right, you should know what you're putting into your body and what it's going to do to you. if you just go shoving stuff in your body when you don't know what it does to you you mustn't care that much about your own personal health and safety.

people should educate themselves about the drugs they are taking or else we're just as bad as what mainstream society views us to be! i like to be informed about drugs and their effects and therefore can justify my drug use by having some sort of understanding of what the drugs i am using are doing to me. good on you for posting this link weba, i saw it a few years ago and it became part of the influence on me to take an interest in harm minimisation and the education of informed drug use.

drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer

Yeah, Erowid rules! I've spent ages reading through that site at a time.

Erowid is good, gives you the most detail on every drug you can think of, But I do think this slideshow gives you the most detailed description of what Mdma does to your brain, the reasons you need serotonin etc..
