I've always been in favor of Nintendo myself, but I have to admit that a lot of the games they're putting out on the Gamecube are just too... childish, for lack of a better word.
As for the Xbox, well, it has a lot of good games (Mechassault kicks ass) but I really don't feel like putting any more money in Bill Gates' pocket, so I will never buy one. I guess it's gotta be Playstation for me.

if you like animated games go for nintendo
for more serious and realistic games go for sony
for a computer that freezes up after a while,crashes and is no better than any of its rivals,go for x-box (after all it's made by microsoft,what more can you expect)

and for my 2200th post i'd like to say:
it'll be a few years before the playstation is seen as an absolute classic like the snes/mega drive/zx spectrum etc

PS2 and gamevube are wicked...I play them a lot more then I do my X Box...it's sad becasue it jsut sits there...adn I don't want to sell it because of Halo 2

Playstation was pretty much built by nintendo anyway, it was going to be a joint venture between Nintendo & Sony.....but after a disc-size row it ended up being just sony.
I'm still so annoyed at people who say....gamecube is for kids.
errr no.....with games like Resident Evil, Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Die-Hard......and so many more, these are games are definatly not aimed at children!!!!!!!!
The kiddy games are just a huge added bonus .

You faith in Nintendo is inspiring and I deffo respect you for that.
I just think that if the richest man in the world wants something then he will
probably get it. X box can be a total loser but He can afford it to be until he pushes competitors off the market. In consoles there is I think only room for two. I agree with you that Nintendo is not childish however you would admit I think a lot of its games are aimed at a younger fan base. I thin Banjo rocks, Its Huge clever funny and entertaining but it is a clever game aimed for all the family where as Sony and Xbox are pushing at us 17 to Death market. As a result a lot of ppl move on to sony from Nintendo. I didn't know about the Joint veture stuff that's really interesting. I guess I still learn something every day eh?
Mouse I am with you on Spectrum but we was so poor, I couldn't have one (BooHoo!!) So I was born in to a commadore kid.
However I would say PS1 is now a classic and will be seen as such.
Oh how I remember the days of having £1.99 and gazing at all the c64 games (and their were loads!!) thinking what to get this week
I never got Grand National and as a result still want a horse racing game but i can't find one in Bloody Belguim!!
Still nothing beats the memory of

SNES was by far my second favorite Playstation being my first and NES C64(YA BABY Commando :-P and Aztec Challenge and MULE YEAH BUDDY :-P) are tied for 3rd and I have no comment on X-box it looked promisingbut its not gonna last nintendo and sony will both be around for awhile
PS any one remember the game called Kung-Fu for NES GREATEST GAME EVER:-P

Word...GC Is not just for kids...I totally hate when people say that...when I went on the official launch there where more adults then kids...

First of, "Move with the times"....Gamecube is newer than a PS2 by many months, and the X-Box well I just don't want a poor-mans pc, however put Linux on it and it will make a great internet server  .

ahhh snes rules.. ive had mine since like they first came out in australia mario kart my personal fav... :) i have bought a 64 aswel but even that doesnt compare to the snes i currently finshed all the games on super mario allstars due to a big break between finshing school and TAFE. nintendo will always be the best ever console. i mean come on as if playstation or xbox will be talked about like snes in 10years.. , i currently still goto my friends house and play games for hours on end snes rocks and always will haha i just cant believe so many other people on here are the same as me and can not leave the thing alone :)

I think most people like Playstation 2s rather than the Gamecube, it seems the GameCube has more like Kiddy games.But there are some goos games on the Gamecube.I prefer the Ps2.
I'm not really into games and stuff though.I hardly ever go on my Ps2.
