I've DJ'ed all of those styles at one time or another and it's a hard question to answer.
Hip-Hop is hard to DJ to cos the tempo varies so much.
D&B is often tricky as the beats tend to clash a lot if you're not careful.
Hard House & Trance are pretty similar when it comes to DJ'ing although Hard House can catch you out if you don't know the songs well enough.

That leaves Happy Hardcore - always been my favourite & always will be.
I'm a much better DJ when it comes to Hardcore - knowing the music and having a feeling for it brings something out in me that I can't explain

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

I agree with that. I ent really done anything but a bit of trance besides hardcore but i know that i love it when i blend a couple of hardcore tunes together perfectly. Just great

id say jungle was pretty easy.. theres no solid song structure to mix around, and most tracks are in the same tempo range

Easiest? Personally easiest for me is old skool because the percussion makes it very obvious whether you are match and phased correctly or not

dnb and breaks are the easiest to mix, cos as was said no solid structure like all 4-beat genres

Although I'm focusing on hardcore right now, I still love to spin drum & bass, old skool, and speedcore. Speedcore has always been one of my faves. Sometimes proper mixing at that speed is near impossible, so you have to be creative in how you put your tracks together and build a vibe.

As far as the easiest to mix...drum & bass

Silver has just summed up UK Hard House perfectly, and I also agree it's very easy to mix......half the time you don't even have to bother much about beat-matching....there all the sam tempo/BPM.

hard house is super easy if you don't mind bonk matching, bonk bonk bonk bonk, it all sounds the same so it's really easy. i've tried spinning everything but keep coming back the the happy hardcore. it's easier now for me to spin it, so i'm happier with it now.

Once you have learnt to mix properly, most styles/genres are easy to mix (The principle is the same). Hard house and trance are a bit dull because there isn't a lot of cutting involved, just fade in, fade out (Daniel-son!). Old skool breakbeat is pretty hard if you don't know the choons and you spend to long trying to beat match (some UK old skool BB wasn't made properly and isn't always in pitch!). Hardcore is definatly the most enjoyable to mix, and D&B is fun too for scratchin' or mixing with hip-hop. Scratch mixing with doubles is really hard to do, but thats completely different.

Mostly harmless...

Spinning records is easy once the technique is there

Its making a show out of it and scratchin it up to the hardcore that takes talent and a true feel of the music.

Ecstatic
