Having put my 2 pence in someone post who's trying to sell a record, I thought I'd ask...

What's the most £££ you have spent on a single record?

What's the most £££ you would pay for a single tune?

I'll start by saying, I paid £50 for an original Trip to The Moon Part 2 12" a few years back (It did have original picture sleeve - oooh!) and it added to my set of Prod House tunes. I was prepared to also pay the same for an original Windows In The Sky but I got it much cheaper in the end!

Mostly harmless...

I could pay 20€ for the Starchild - Starchild single, but if i ever find it, the price wouldnt be that much... coz its not that known tune, and the ones that know it think its Dune's tune...

i wud pay about fifteen quid for a double sided release of connexions (one side with full track, other with instrumental track and just the rap....that would be hella-coool)

most ive ever payed is 7quid for a stunned guys vinyl (but all imports are 6-7 quid, so its really not that fantastic)

Yeah! And I got the Remix too! So in total... 3 mixes on the orignal WITS and another 4 on the WITS remix, so 7 in total! That's a lot of windows! I nearly have all the Production House records from 1 thru 60 (About 2 or 3 short.)

None for the 1-sided tunes man, you feel ripped off even when you pay normal prices!

Thats not the one that had the funky tracking on it is it? Or was the the original... that had spaces in the middle of the record where the needle would track across them. My copy of that, went out the window (Not the one in the sky) coz it got a scratch across the space bit and would never play properly after that. One bad night that was!

Mostly harmless...

Well I'm not proud of it but I once payed £31 for the Rush Hour remixes. Granted I only started buying records and really wanted something nice and rare for my collection but really I've never seen a copy for much cheaper, so no regrets.

Even though I probably wouldn't pay that much again for a cheesy record, there are probably a select few I could see me paying that much or even more for. The one that tops my list is Marc Smith - The Procrastinator. I would easily pay $50 or $100 for this without giving it a second thought. Hopefully tho Marc just gives it a proper pressing on Notorious (which it never had)

I would pay anything for "World Of Dreams" by Orion Groove Project, and almost anything for "The Sun Always Shines" by M-Jay & Dan Vee. KF045 is also a major contender.

Granted, "World Of Dreams" isn't hhc, but I've been looking for it for like five-six years now.

Never splashed out too much, but stupidly swapped 60 records for my all-time fav.

Dream your dream III - Mayday dream

Then got another copy a week later for £3.
