Have to agree, Scott Brown always produces quality tracks and if I was him I would do the same thing. I dont think his sets would be much better if he mixed them with anyone else's material imo.

then again... if you made as many tunes as Scott did, why wouldn't you play them? why make tunes only to not play them? and plus, Scott isn't the only person who does this.. most of the major producers play in the same format as well.

I would agree that Scotty uses a template for his songs, but not really a "cookie cutter" (that would imply that they are really really really really really really similar, or the same )
Compare Ghosts to Neckbreaka...
But then again, thats HIS style, other producers are yet to catch on to the vibe.

... which is exactly how I consider a lot of Scott Brown's tracks to be.

I'm not saying that SB has bad tunes - infact, I've only ever NOT liked one of them - but I just think he should put slightly more variety into his mixes. He does use similar beats and structure in a lot of his songs, and I prefer a mix where every song is different.

I get sick of the same style after about half and hour - its a good thing he jumps into nu-style. Adds some spice to the mix.

but yeah I'd say he uses a template and only changes things like the intro samples, then melodies and harmonies, but still having the same feel.
Using a formula for sucess - nothing new.

OkOKOKokokokokokokokKKKKKK.... Scott browns songs are good, BUT they have all got the same production skeleton, the same samples, the same everything....
so if you play the same song over and over and over again i gets to everyone..
May i suggest a set with other tunes from other labels a dividers... then i would not be that bad.
Just Accept It, I'm a raver not a crazy drug addict!
