Here we go! Finally an additional installment to the Ha-P-Kore series! So if you enjoyed the previous sessions, fancy uk hardcore, or just want to peek a listen.. go for it. i'm very happy with the way this developed, straight after i was finished spinning i had the biggest smile plastered to my face.
thank you.

link worked for me, just took awhile to dl...

first tune is break the law by robbie long & devastate not brisk =P

as far as mixing, you may want to try dropping off the tune your mixing out of when the new one is done w/ it's intro. nice that your trying to mix tunes in early but sometimes it sounds better if you don't bring the sound in till a lil later. need to work on your mixing a lil bit, nice that your trying to mix the tracks in early though =)

close enough, my copy is a white label, so brisk is the closest i figured since it's ng/bb

brian k do you have any sets up that i may check out?
my earlier sets had the type of mixing you mention and yes it does sound good, however as my own preference i like the long drawn mixes because for a moment we have an entirely new sound. i can see how you mean though b/c the beats might drop off and leave you hanging on an ambient vocal, which is no problem either. check out robbie long's set 'real hardcore' on blatant beats site. he does a great job of executing entirely overlapped crossovers between tracks, namely 'time to move' and 'surreal nights' it's way past the intro and even starts into the first break before he even drops the previous track. that's what i'm going for and been working on getting that tighter. i didn't want it to sound too much like a fluctuating set mix-intro-break repeat. too monotonous. i like breaking in the next track, forget dropping after the intro and let both tracks take it for a nutty ride. by the time the previous track is eased off the new one has already taken off.
been workin at it for a while and it's getting there.
thanks for the feedback. and congratulations- you've earned weenie status.

i'm really not a fan of the intro break being mixed thru, BUT.. there are times when it can sound very good.. i dont like the beats going through the break, but if the previous song is in a breakdown as well, it can sound decent.
