Mine is United Dance, when MC Whizzkid rinsed out for me and Paul Complusion! He said "These boys aren't up and coming... They're up and running! KNOW WHAT I MEAN?!" :)

Pretty sure I'm the originator of that turn of phrase, "back in the day". That's not to say that it isn't a commonly used phrase, much as with "top tier", but my relentless usage in the early noughties had no small part in wider adoption as common industry parlance.
Don't thank me all at once

The VG set at Energy 99* (Helter Skelter) - *2nd mention of the day - is top class. Slipmatt's set on the flip is the perfect compliment. It's the one tape I would defend to the hilt. But... I wasn't there, so not sure if that counts.
Speaking of VG & Slipmatt, though, I remember they did a B2B at Uproar's Hardcore Marathon. Slipmatt kept trying to cheese it up but VG wasn't having any of it. Funny, seeing as half the people in the room wouldn't have known about TWO!
It was funny in the mid/late-00s how ravers spent most of the time outside in the smoking area talking about hardcore all night rather than inside dancing to it.
