Anyone know anything about EKO the genius behind the track Renegade Rewind from back in the 90s? I've recently started seeing the name EKO pop up on line ups with not very well known dj's at very small scale events, surely this isn't the same EKO?

Probably some other guy calling him/herself EKO.
Based on Discogs, EKO is infact Chris Howell, aka DJ Luna-C/Cru-L-T himself, and I dont think he'd take "obscure" production name as a DJ name.
Unless Chris sees this and corrects me that is :P

Almost certainly not. People use the same names all the time though, even when they are somewhat unique.
