Could not have said it better myself... every thing has to evolve, but i certainly don't think it is a bad thing at present!! All sounds seriously good to me
HARDCORE TILL I DIE!
if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music!

It didn't really die, it just changed. The commercial dance type stuff still has a happy feel to it. Raver Baby for example, I haven't heard one dark tune from them yet. People might hate the new style, but I'm afraid music does evolve, think about this :
If disco had not been created there would be no house, No House music= no rave ,which means no happy hardcore and jungle.
As long as Happy Hardcore has a loyal following it will never die, the popular music community will just choose embrace it and then disgrace it at any time they choose to.

^^ as it goes into a paul oakenfold remix... ...then into a ferry corsten remix.
now, i like both of these tunes, and i can't wait for bullet in the gun to be released. although i find it a little off that they start the cd out like that... and go into these certain tunes.
and as for happy hardcore evolving, i'll agree totally. but just because it evolved, doesnt mean that it didnt lose certain elements. it most deffinatley did.
and as for freeform being trancey? im going to have to disagree big time there... i feel like im listening to a ministry of sound cd when i hear alot of this new stuff! :)
freeform is probably one of the most unique genres of hardcore.
Oh man, I hope I didn't brain my damage...

how that bollocks saying happyhardcore is dead!! I think what you mean IS - the big producers don't make the happyhardcore sound anymore (they do the trancey stuff now)
but to say happyhardcore is dead is wrong! it's alive in my bedroom! NO ONE is gonna stop me making 1996 style happyhardcore with my soft-studios I have installed! go on! try and stop me making it and ENJOYING IT!........you can't!
each to their own and all that, I don't have a problem with people liking/making the new trancey sound at all tho, they can do that if they want, it's all down to personal opinions.
thank you for listening to my speech!
I think UK garage is crap IMO

btw - ive got alot of time on my hands today... im so bored :(

Yes i know you didnt meant that, i just tryed to be little sarcastic, coz
there has been so much comlaining about the intro(on bonkers x topic)
and i tryed to give a new perspective about the issue, i didnt aim my post to you, even though i used a quote from your post, no harm meant sorry

Definatly too many trance rip-offs for me lately, that does annoy me.....however, like it's been said it is evolving, so give it a bit more evolving time and we might soon pass through the trance rip-off tunes, and get more freeform and breakbeat tracks ........Well I hope at least!!!!!!
