Ok, at the beginning I didn't like the new sound, I was like, "What is that?, is trance using our fast and fury hhc beat, can't believe its hardcore, then I took the -not fear-not allowed-against the law-attitude". But now I have to say I dig it. And like many others say, hhc has now more variety.
And take a look at the history of music, see how many genres have come and go and remain gone. Happy hardcore is one of the few to rise to the sky go to hell and make a comeback from hell for another attempt to reach the sky. Keeping the fast beats alive.
We should be damn proud its still around to evolve.

I cant believe a lot of you!!

Do you still go out an rave? Do you still listen to hardcore at home or in the car? YES you do! After all we've been through to get hardcore back on its feet and flying again we get a load of people trying to put it back down again!! You people dont deserve to listen to hardcore! You're unbelieveable!

It comes down to a simple choice really! If you dont like the new hardcore then hey, dont listen to it! Nobody is telling you too especially if you dont like it! I am very happy with the way hardcore has progressed and the majority of people are. But if all you got to say is things about how you hate the way hardcore is now then what the **** are you doing listening to hardcore and posting topics on HHC.com! How cenile can you get!! You just keep on listening to your cheese if thats what you wanna do but what a shame that is with hardcore as healthy as it is at the moment!

Its like what ravin loonatic sed "And take a look at the history of music, see how many genres have come and go and remain gone. Happy hardcore is one of the few to rise to the sky go to hell and make a comeback from hell for another attempt to reach the sky. Keeping the fast beats alive.

Quite right!

if you don't like what you hear then quit your bitching and start producing

maybe it's time you took your face out of your ass and realized that things progress and not everyone is going to like the change (ie you). hardcore took a turn for the worse around the turn of the century and I believe there are a lot of people out there trying to better the scene once again.

There are a lot more labels poping up with new people being brought in producing and djing hardcore. Many of the old producers are coming back to produce hardcore as well.

I'm not saying you have to like everything out there. I still have trouble listening to some RB stuff but ya know I'm not going to sit there and put down the whole scene because of one certain label/sound coming out. I appreciate what people like hixxy and ufo are doing even if I don't like the production style.

"we'll delete the weak"

Listen to the man, he know's what he's talking about :)

I'm not a huge fan of RB, I get a guilty pleasure from the the Rave N Beats releases and still enjoy my old stuff.

But the new stuff, when u get used to it is very nice. Not all of it is trance based.. I'll be the first to admit the *really* trancey stuff is not my cup of tea. The NG/BB stuff is simply stunning as are many other labels. The production is better than it's ever been . . .

I know how you feel, I was there - i remeber clearly when I heard some of the 'new' (for then) NG stuff .. I *hated* it.. but you know what? all of it now sits i nmy vinyl box ;)

Just give it a chance.

EDIT: almost forgot - Keep up the good work mollymush :) I very much liked the d/l's I have of ure sets . . doubt I'll ever get to see you live but errm.. yeah nice work ;)

Erm...correct me if I am wrong but 99% of the posts are in favor
of new hardcore not againest. I suggest reading the posts in future not just reading the author's title.
I like Freeform
I like Nu-energy
I like Trancecore
I like Hardcore
I like Happy Hardcore best.
The happier toons I will listen to most.
When there are none I listen to all things new but also play some oldies,
To make me feel good.
Track Four Mixmag cd....Now that is as much Happy hardcore as Pretty Green
Eyes.
Things must evolve but that doesn't mean things have to die.
Bring on the HAPPY
Bring on the HARD
Bring on the CORE

Stevie, the pont you have just made is exactly right! 99% of the people do like the new hardcore. I know that. I was talking about the 1% minority who have nothing better to do than slag off the newer hardcore which in my opinion is by far the best hardcore that has ever been made and I've been listening for 10 years!

So please dont accuse my of "just reading the author's title", I do read all the post! I always do! Anyway, b4 an argument breaks loose, I agree with you Stevie!

Back when i was a young lad we had music called "Happy Hardcore" and we had to walk 10 miles in our bare feet to get it...ahh those were the days.

Now we have these young whippersnappers with their "Interwebs" complaining about everything, its discraceful.Back when i was young we got a clip round the ear when we complained and we had to walk 10 miles in our bare feet to get it.

Fink im drunk

Ok...a little aggressive perhaps in my approach there; sorry.

But I like Mr Bishi, remember being in West Wales and made to walk
8 miles into the Wilderness for a night in a barn, plus once you were there
if a house Dj got on there was nothing you could do about it!! Not even get a
decent cup of tea. Luckily that didn't happen much in the early days.
Irrespective of new or old I would still crawl across broken glass for a night with 2000 other like minded souls in the middle of no where. After all its the atmosphere generated by the people and the music that makes dance what it is.
