Seriously. This thread started as a ****ing joke since skarr (not DJ sc@r) was pissed off at me for calling him a troll.

calm the **** down.

And yes, I am a man, and I like girls (and ladyboys) who look cute. Well shoot me for being a pervert then!

To the gay fella who says it's cool because he doesn't care if someone does this about dudes. Just because you don't care doesn't mean that everyone else is OK with it. Also this isn't happening to dudes in EVERY SINGLE CONVERSATION, which makes it a lot easier to stomach. IF you are a female DJ every conversation is about your looks, and if you're a male DJ the conversation is about your talent. It results in discrimination (in both directions) and makes the barrier of entry much higher for Female DJ's. People also take them a lot less seriously as a result.

To the rest of you. There isn't much I can say here that hasn't been said. You want to make DJing a Boys club and that's cool for you but lets not pretend for even one ****ing second that this is anything other then blatent and rampant sexism.

You signed up in 2005 and 12 years later made this your first post? I love it!

Cowpunch was just waiting for the opportune moment.

ahahaha this is amazing.

The two upset ladies in the thread are way off the mark. Sc@r has the right idea. No harm is meant by it whatsoever and I don't think for one second anyone is suggesting anything like the idea that the women don't deserve to be where they are on their artistic merit.

Well, if they actually frequented the forums, they should know that

skarr (not sc@r) is a troll.
Guest, for the lack of words, is also a troll.
latininxtc loves his gifs (also, I didn't know you where gay?).
Samination, me, is just a big jerk who likes poorly timed jokes, but that doesnt make me a misogyny.

If you really want to find a misogynious place, there are better places than happyhardcore.com to rant about that shit, like 4chan or reddit. But I guess jimnicricket and spunkydabunny are gonna add this site to the HATERS list just like Gammer no matter what we say anyways.

Y'alls reasoning for blatant objectification in a field where women are constantly fighting to be seen as equals (and not "cute" or "hot" and thereby given some sort of handicap) is laughable, at the very least. It's a great way to burn a bridge and get a few laughs at your own expense. ggwp

Honesty is equality.

Go eat a ten strip and think on that.

I completely understand your sentiment and definitely acknowledge it to be true.

Though this thread was only about how " fit" a certain dj is; not how talented they are; or even how much publicity they get due to how attractive they are. In fact; I know we missed loads of fit dj's . If this thread was on talented female dj's ( or male) I can 100% assure you that there would be zero consideration on looks :) .

What appears to be a male dominated scene from multiple aspects certainly does not make it easy for females to recieve the same amount of recognition without some heckling; and for that we applaud you all infinitely more.

When I fanboy out over the voice of a Euphoric blissy female vocalist and my heart flutters; I am not " objectifying " them; I am expressing my utmost respect and sense of awe and love.

I really don't think anybody meant any harm; and lastly; ALL female djs rocking the decks are sexy.

Uh, no they're not. You've never seen DJ Irene then. She's built like a bull dyke.

That being said, she is one of the all-time best female DJs in my opinion. She's had a career spanning over 30 years now and had multiple mixed album releases. I own about 8 of them. I stopped paying attention to her when she went full electro house so I have no clue what she is up to these days.
