Cheese, is useually associated with high pitched chip monk vocals or female vocales which are cheesy, like in any genre of music any lovey dovey vocals are considered cheesy. Also in hardcore some of the sounds that are very happy and uplifting can also be labelled as cheesy.

Cheese sometimes stinks... its smell sometimes is too much, when a happy hardcore track sometimes goes ultra happy or sounds commerical, perhaps too much vocals... then it's stinks... it's chessy or corny :)

Not saying it's a bad thing, just a term.

it's all hardcore.

I sometimes dissagree with people calling it cheesey, because cheesey does not neccessarily mean happy, and that's what most people refer to *happy* hardcore as, in my opinion to call hardcore cheese is not a good thing, because if someone calls something cheesey it's rarely because they like it. So i think to leave it as *happy* would be a much more appropriate term :)
