It's the fact that Ultrabeat, well one of the 2 guys at least is a lyer and doesn't give a damn about the hardcore scene, and that did affect/upset me when he told me this stuff.
what du mean?
A few people have asked me about this, and I don't feel it is fair for me to blast my arguement with one of the members over a public internet site.
Let's just say I have no real problem with trance doing hardcore tracks, I leave it at that.

this shit is getting very old. everytime there is a new trance remix of a hardcore tune, people flip out. what is the big deal? grow up.
it just pisses me off, because i think this is/will be a big factor why people dont respect the hardcore scene.
people dont seem to realize that money from the trance remixes go right back into hardcore. PLUS if you havent noticed, there have been alot of newbies on the board asking about hardcore. so what does this tell you? how many of them doyou think got into it from hearing one of these trance remixes and doing a little research.
i dont mind the trance remixes.
Oh man, I hope I didn't brain my damage...

People like the exclusivity of hardcore, saying that they listen to something that no one else does.. that's why they're threatened.. Suddenly they aren't so "underground" anymore..
I don't really care if these remixes are coming out.. I dont listen to trance, so whatever. If the remixes are making money for hardcore producers, then it's a good thing.

A person is seperate to a group. This is a standard on all releases.

Well there is that, but also how many people in this country have heard the "brandname" (I suppose you could call it) of "Flip & Fill" a lot more people i'm sure than those who have heard of "Nick Arnold" (Sorry Nick! I don't want to make you sound unpopular or anything)
basically Flip and Fill will shift more units in the pop scene than if it was released by someone no-one has heard of.
It would also work the other way round, who would shift more units if a hardcore track was released by both Flip & Fill and Nick Arnold, I think Nick wins that one hands down. because people know the name, and so they also know the quality that comes with the producers name.
Well that's my oppinion anyway .

My last words on this:
Hardcore is a way of life. People say time and time again on here. Hardcore means walking away from the media and mainstream pop ******** and living separate from these things so you can be yourself, rather than some "norm" dictated on television, radio and everywhere else. To sell a track so that it can be used for mainstream consumption goes against what hardcore was built on. Sure, people can say that the money goes back into hardcore, but even if it does, all that means is that hardcore is now dependant on mainstream. It's not about thinking that you're somehow cooler because you're underground, it's about making a statement to the corporate machine; saying that you want nothing to do with its brainwashing and exploitation. I stand by my belief that allowing cheesy pop remixes to be made from hardcore tracks constitutes selling out. Thank you and good day.
