iv been thinkin about this quite a lot and its started to rely pi*s me off, hardcore is quite old as u all no and there are sum old tunes, but now ppl are re-mixin them, which in a way is gud cos its bringin the tune bk to life, bt il av had a alot of ppl cum up to me latly and say, 'steve have u hurd that propa gud new tune called pretty green eyes'? and im like its not new, and they wont belive me they all think its the 1st eva pretty green eyes, its happerin with a lot of 'ex'hardcore tunes now, ppl think the oraginal is TRANCE!!!! wot are ur views?

They are fine, you can't expect your non hardcore friends to know anything about hardcore... and no level of getting angry is going to make those people know about the orginial track. In the end it shows hardcore tunes are the best tunes and it will promote hardcore.

Good lord, reading that first post hurt my cerebrum.
If they don't believe you thats fine. But trance remixes of hardcore tunes do good in two ways:
1.) They are not disco house 
2.) Pays and Promotes the original artists and thus the scene
I hate disco house.....

so let me get this right: it's perfectly fine for hardcore to remix tunes but if another genre remixes a hardcore tune, it's blasphemy?
it's ignorant of people to think it's a new tune, but the same goes for people thinking a rip of a house/techno/trance tune to hardcore is the original...

The main reason there annoyed with that is because, When hardcore remixes a song, not many poeple will hear it and it won't outsell or be as popular as the original version. But when a Hardcore tunes heard by not many is released into the charts giving it popularity and obviously selling more as a trance tune, is what annoys people.
Just thought I'd clear up why people get annoyed for that reason, there are many others.
if it pee's you off, just try and ignore it and hope it goes away  .

I try that myseld Si. To this day, the remix of Shooting Star by F&F (****** Fukwits!!), I havent listened to it all the way threw. I think I got about 25-30 seconds of it b4 I realised it was wank and turned it off very quickly! Truly bollox!!
I hate it when hardcore gets remixed into trance or house tunes that end up shit but in the case of Pretty Green Eyes, i rekon Ultrabeat did a half decent job of that! But Im from just outside Liverpool so I do support Ultrabeat in a way!

I completely agree with this view, i wish people would stop making a fuss. Everyone has their own taste so let them do what they want and let them listen to what they want. Weve been remixing trance tunes for a lot longer than the other way round and nobody seems to have ever had a problem with that. So stop moaning
