Found a story in Daily Mail on a party called Midnight Mafia in Sydney Australia held earlier this year.
One thing I noticed when looking at the article is candy ravers seem to be non existing. Gym wear seems to have totally taken over.
Hopefully the Americans realise that there is nothing good about rainbows and fluff too lol..
Is definitely a generational change, both in the music and the rave wear style.
I am pretty sure Tweekacore and Darren Styles played at this event.

Candy comes and goes, but the biggest stronghold will always be here in the States. Even here, it's become nothing more than a fashion trend with the meaning behind it quickly drifting off to memory land. In the late 90s, early 2000s, it was all about dressing as brightly and "childishly" as possible, with clothes representing 80s Cartoons or current cartoon trends. You would make candy intentionally to trade at events, and your purpose was to make sure to talk and give hugs and treats out. In today's scene, more and more have moved away from the cartoony fashions, wearing regular clothes, or dark colored clothing, or hardly any clothing, peeps only hang out with their cliques, peeps make candy, but not to trade, but to show off. There are few people remaining who still uphold the old PLUR. We'll see what happens as we enter the 2020s!

not a bad thing is it lets be honest. that kandi is ridiculous
Have to agree, I cringe at the whole animation candy culture that was around. Glad you don't see it much here in the UK anymore.
Lets be honest if your a bloke wearing rainbows with a dummy in your mouth and colourful braclets. You may as well be going out wearing your girlfriends dress.
The scene is basically going full circle. Sportswear was massive in the mid to late 90s at raves. Except now it looks like it will be sports gym wear. It makes sense though, you sweat less and the clothing is lite. Perfect for moving to Hardcore.
That is one thing I noticed when holidaying down to Australia. A lot of people train. Especially in the Gold Coast and when I was at Bondi in Sydney.

its what hardcore used to be and always will be, chix in hotpants drum & bass call chavs, because its a gay scene
i still laugh at the middleclass nerds, and always will
UV reflective hotpants have been around for decades, virgins will walk around with they're dicks rock hard when you can see all the curves under the lights

better at eating handfuls of e and wearing shiny bracelets.
Yeah Americans have always been about 15 years behind Europe and rest of the world with their rave scene.
Candy is getting about as dated as a disco outfit... Is like comedy fancy dress.

men look like shit, chicks dress up, all the hunniez like the ruff rugged and raw, and the reason they are at hardcore events, and the reason they were at tekstep, and dubstep filth events
its all about getting laid with some 8 inch beef
its a bass scene the same as every other was, until they became gay scenes and full of cry babies

hardcore hardcore is more of a typical bass scene, uk hardcore is nothing like a bass scene, it has no bass to begin with
