Ok i've been fartin around with scratchin for years and i thought i'd record something!. ...
... only a bit of fun! .. but would like comments! I know i'm not the next q-bert or anything but i'd like to know how i stand with all you fine people!

i dont hear much scratching,but thats good :)

yeah i listened to it all ,well i dont hear this type of scratching stuff! is it a style of music or anything?

what the rubbery bottom hole are you on about, that samples full of scratching
Scratching is making tones and patterns using a sample on a vinyl, moving this backward and forward while cutting the fader
the scratching in that clip is the "Chirpy noises" over the top

that was pretty good. Im not the biggest fan of scratching, but that was done pertty well. Just keep on working on it. Its damn good.

Yeah not bad at all mate. Im quite impressed. Ive been trying to do a lot myself but to be honest i ent nearly that good yet. How did you go about learning???
You learnt some techniques from somewhere or is it just trying things out ?

heh, if u don't know what scratching even is, don't bother trying to critique it =P
but that was real good flex, i really liked it when it kicked up around 1:30, nice work

yes i know what scratching is ,even ,you dont even need to know to critique ,if u like it then critique!! i was jus curious coz i hadnt heard scratching in this style ,just in hiphop and hardcore

Does it even need to be said, señor chiz, that this particular batch of scratches happens to be over hip-hop (or maybe really slow breaks? Same diff.)?

well, i wasn't taught, i learnt myself .. of course i was influenced be certain djs' etc ...
and whoever he is who couldnt hear the scratchin, whats he on about!!

very nice. I've been practicing on scratching for the last year or so, and just from what I know, that sounded quite nice. nice variation of samples too.
