Because there isn't, or hasn't been untill recently enough of us hardcore fans out there for albums to make commercial sense. Crappy dance is far more popular, the radio is stuffed with it, thats all most people hear and sadly what most people like, so that's what they buy. Hopefully things are changing a bit now, there's a few hardcore cd's in the pipeline, 2 raverbaby, the next bonkers another battle of the dj's (Sy's on it)..... So things are really looking up, exciting times for hardcore lie ahead!
Hardcore will never be as commercial as mainstream dance, i think we all forget how extreme it sounds to other people sometimes! but it's what we like and it's what makes us different to all the rest. The best thing we can do is carry on supporting hardcore, buying (not downloading!) the cd's and turning up to the raves, if the market is there the record companies will fill it!

How come the dance albums are advertised on the television e.g. clubland
and happy hardcore albums are not e.g. bonkers coz i know that bonkers are the most popular happy hardcore albums out there

yeah bonkers x got advertised on the box,mtv and channel 4.
i suppose another reason for not advertising could be commercialism ,some people dont want HHC to get commercial ,some do!

Or it could just be that producing quality material takes time and unlike most dance music hardcore = quality.

i dont know if its the same in europe, but the majority of our "dance music" compilations are just hip hop and r&b.. which i don't really consider to be "dance" music
