Nik Fish is an Australian trance DJ with a limited international profile.
Scott Brown is one of the world's most well-known hardcore DJ/producers and is popular in pretty much any scene with a decent hardcore presence.
Given that this is an international hardcore-focussed site, I'm pretty sure that most if not all members would pick Scott Brown, given that at least 95% of them probably haven't even heard of Nik Fish.

I prefer Scott Brown, he is a dam fine DJ. Nik Fish is not bad, but, he just dosen't have the same ability that Scott Brown has.

^^ when I last heard Nik Fish play at Sublime, it sounded like he was just letting each track play out and then slapping the cross-fader over. Honestly, each beatmix couldn't have covered more than the last couple of bars of the outgoing track - he could've played the entire set on one turntable. Since then, I've lost all respect for him as a DJ.

I haven't heard Nik Fish play much during the past few years, but, he wasn't a bad DJ in the 90s. I think he deserved his place on the list. But, if all that he is doing now is mixing in a couple of bars, then that is not the same DJ that I used to listen too. Too many bickeys, I think.

I doubt if it's bickies that're the problem. It's fame, fortune, and mountains of coke that have made him think he's the greatest thing to happen to the DJ's art, when in fact his abilities and imagination have degenerated to the point where even the most pathetic up-n-comer could probably play a better set then he can. IMHO he's just getting by on name-recognition nowadays.

Nik Fish at UEMF was ok, he had nothing on fenix just b4 him.. Fish still had talent and was a poineer for his generation, he died after mixing Hard NRG Orange..

^^ not denying that, but it's kinda hard to appreciate what he did as a pioneer for the scene when so often he does shit that damages the very scene he helped to shape.

"nik fish is crap like all the trance dj's that play at sublime". I haven't been to sublime for a while now, but, I've heard Pee Wee play recently and I still think he is a top DJ and still puts in a decent effort.
