well ,you can do it on pc with programs such as ,fruityloops, cubase, logic reason ,but there again when it comes to the serious stuff you will need hardware ,which is pretty expensive .I and many others produce with software, but most proffesionals with hardware....
let the music take you to the highest height ,come on raise your hands up you can touch the sky.........

^^^ Your comment is 3-4 years old... you would be very suprised to learn what producers only use 90% software and I am talking the biggest artists in hardcore.

Yeah it is a bit late.
Hardware has a coolness factor. The physical knobs and sliders. The cables. The feedback. And its looks sweet when performing live.
Software has the accessible factor. Breeze, UFO, Oli G, Gammer, Deejaybee and countless others (such as myself) use software. And sweet sweet software it is.
Its true that alot of pro's do use hardware, but some might say only cos it cost so much, it would be a waste to throw it out for some software. Others would argue about the feel of the hardware.
I use software cos its cheaper. No doubt, in the future I will use a combination of both software and hardware in the future.
Some programs to start with mjg are FLStudio (just to tinker with), Reason, Cubase and a handful of VSTi's, such as the NI pro53.

Ive been using cuebase n reason2 for a while now n whilst reason is an amazing soft synth it dont quite cut it on the trancey sorts of sounds n i just assumed i'd have to raise the money for Hardware till i saw this topic.
So, What software's best for the trancey sorts of sounds?
Hardcore is the passion of the chosen....
