and no offense, but if you are asking perfect strangers on a website to be your virtual friend, i think you need to get out more.

Actually, Facebook has created so you can find people you met in the past, but somehow you lost contact with... for example if you want to find your best friend in the kindergarden or whatever...
besides, most people in the contact list is people you know in real life...
you are right about some thing, it sucks for socializing, but it you are bored, it can be lots of fun. thats why it is so used, and why so many people waste hours and hours in it

Lol im the same, i havent totally figuered out facebook or even myspace yet (took me like 3 days to work out that you need a background generator to change your background lol)....I just tend to stick to good old chavvy bebo lol

I went on an adding spree on Facebook so if someone from the 'Portsmouth' network adds you then that is me lol
I don't live in Portsmouth though, it was my only network at the time lol
