hardcore_fan theres loads of extra's you can get with your decks but what is essential to do a good mix. i dont know what to get

milo it depends what you wanna do. deck wise you want something with a decent pitch range (+/- 10 works great) and motor will be reliable and not spin funny or take a while to reach the pitch you put it at. If you plan on moving the decks to do shows and stuff then duribility is obvious. Another aspect of the deck you want is something that feels right. If the pitch feels too sticky or slides to much or wobbles or something you don't like, then find one that does feel right. Also the tone arm too, since you'll be moving that constantly, find something that doesn't feel like it's going to break when you touch it (of course, these are fragile regaurdless, but still...). Same feeling thing goes with a mixer, plus everything being placed where it feels comfortable for you. I don't know a whole lot about the technical aspects of equipment, but that's my input.
