Does anyone like garage?
Me... no I don't like it. |

I've been wanting to hear more of it... I just haven't really had the drive to go look for some. The 2-Step I have heard just seems kinda weak and boring. Its different... but I don't think I would really enjoy a full set of it. I have a couple 2-step tracks that I throw in a set here and there if I'm just playing slower house/breakz stuff.

(to Sunrize) 2-step garage, I agree is pretty weak and boring. If you want some funkier beats to add to your slower sets then try lookin' for some 4 to the floor garage. This is alot better than 2-step, but still no way as good as hardcore.

As a type of music i dont like it, the commercialism of it gets to me a bit too. American garage is quite good, a lot funkier and just sounds better. On occasion i have gone to the garage arenas at raves and there is just no energy in there.

No, I do not like U.K. Garage. American (or 'Speed') Garage is alright, but a full set of it is monotonous and otherwise boring. I still don't see it hving evolved into a full-blown sub-sub genre of its own. The best way I like Speed Garage is to accentuate a hard house set.

as a kandie kid, i can personally testify that garage is one of the scariest things that can happen at a rave. . . (im exagerating a little heheh. . . i actually dont like it cuz its not very dance-friendly)

No its ********
Some people say its time to let go,I guess its easy if theres somewhere you know its takes the past out all these feelings inside, it keeps them locked up so theres no need to hide. |

I don't like it either really. I heard it used to be really popular in America around 1988-1990 though. But now no one likes it that I have heard. In fact I have more than once heard all the ppl in the record store I get my stuff at just start blasting it for sucking so much.... ^_^

From what i believe , Garage is just another form of House music and House will never top Hardcore or even Drum N Bass/Oldskool Hardcore Breakbeats.
