atomicb I don't mean as well as him :P I just mean.. that particular noise (kinda high pitched) how do u make it? I just tried scracting on some records I own and it sounds like nothing like that - do u need a record with a special noise on it, or it it doesn with some kinda box of tricks?

Excuse me for being stupid, I really odn't know :P But I want to do some scratching in that kidna style, and want to know how _ I know scratchign teqnieq, it's just the sound.. any help much apprciated :D

virus what are you refering to, is he's scratching a high pitched tone. a lot of dj's use tones to scratch with.. its much easier then scratching samples

atomicb ahah.. ok, I think I get it, so u mean tones that u find on a song, as opposed to normal samples.. sorry I can't be to specfif coz I don't really do scratching, but I really want to. Where would u find these tones? in a normal song, or a special peice of vinyl?

Oli G heh

*goes looking for the vinyl*

Atlas Good luck on your scratching quest dog, im trying to get the hang of it myself..........does anyone know if the scratchaholics vinyls any good?

Brian K basically the sound that comes out is pretty simply made by slowing the record down or speeding it up with your hand, then cutting the sound in and out with the x-fader. looks and sounds simple but takes a while to get the hang of it

i'd recommend any of the scratchoholics, dj rectangle records, and most battle records....
