Hello All,
James React asked me to post this up for you as i know there have been some problems with some of the C.D's and there being some other important great news that we wish to let you know about.
1)There has been some technical problems at the pressing plant with certain C.D's being mixed up due to a computer error. There were one or two rogue boxes that have slipped thru the net which have made it onto the shelves. They wish to apologise to all those that have had problems and take them back to the retailers and they will gladly swap you a copy of another.They have been down to the pressing plant and have looked at each individual C.D box to make sure that what goes out is sorted and not messed up!!!
2) Bonkers 3 will be available again on the 29th July for all those people that missed out on the original run if you buy it it will not be long before it is a gold selling album. Buy and enjoy!!
3) Also Bonkers 4 has gone silver and there will be a special silver edition available on the 29th also which is great news. This includes the best and original version of shooting stars.
4) The next installment of Bonkers will be out in the shops in October A date will be set soon.You heard it here first!!!!
5)The best news of all we have saved till last. Ministry and Mixmag will be at Futurevibe to run full page spreads on Bonkers and hardcore. Make sure that everyone turns up as it will show all of the people that wrote off hardcore THAT IT IS TRULY BACK WITH A VENGANCE!!! We will show the world that hardcore has risen above all of the critisism and come back better produced and with more musical styles to its bow and that the ravers love it,and are there in numbers partying hard and showin the world we mean business!!!
There is more good news which we will let you know as soon as it is more concrete, but trust me its awesome!!!!!
React would also like to thank all the ravers over the years that have bought the album and made it such a succeess

Haven't got a clue but its sure to be a biggun!! I'm telling ya, 2002 is the year of hardcore. 4get the Drum n Bass, 4get the hardhouse & trance, this is our finest hour and we must live every moment to the full. Bonker The Rezurrection is just the start, more will come and I cant wait. Tell you what thow, I hope Scott Brown does do a mix on the next Bonkers! But they should keep the other three dj's too and have them all mixing upfront Hardcore 2002. I'm luving it all everyone!!! |

i totally agree! i love da hardcore and cant get enuf of it, but when i think of american hardcore dj's the only one i eva herd of is frolic! (well i might of herd of more but i jus dont know they is american) so i think they should do a north american bonkers, maybe call it "Bonkers: USA Style" or sommin along those lines??

was just listenin to my copy of bonkers 6 - vibes mix and just realised how kick ass track 14 - techno wonderland is! personal opinions people is bonkers rezerection worth getting? i aint listened to hardcore music in a while but im gettin back into it so quickly, i have all of bonkers 1-7. i feel so proud :-)

go and buy the nu bonkers - its awsome! but make sure u have the right cd's b4 u buy it - as many have had 2 sharkey cd's instead of a sy cd! but apart from that, its well worth it, get it..........

hhmmmmmmm i just read mixmag n dj at work, now i know why they wanna come 2 a rave..Coz there own scene i.e cream, gatecrasher etc is flagging and grinding to a halt they want sumfink new 2 write about and exploit!! I say sod off u abandoned the scene once, and now juyst coz u need us don't come running!! my own personal opinion, what u lot think?

I say that is totally the wrong attitude (thuogh I completely understand it!) as it would be a cse of cutting of the nose to spite our face, although we are seperate to commercial dance such as house, hard house & trance, whether we like it or not its the occasional low-key slight successes in these markets in cross-over tunes which help keep the scene alive & kicking & lets face it Hard House is sounding more & more like HHC as time goes on, but this just means our DJ's can diversify & improve (as long as they dont sell-out!). My only hope is that it doesnt become "fashionable" just a little bit more respected.

I went down to andy's Records on the day "bonkers: The Rezurrection" was released....i was happy....UNTILL i discovered (as many of you have) that the end of my Sy CD (my FAVE. CD OF THEM ALL!!!) it skips....alot.....damn!
So, i still had my receipt from Andy's Records so i took it back, and they ordered a new one.....Yesterday (5 days after taking the CD back) i got a phone call saying "Your CD you have ordered because of the faulty one has arrived...you can go and get it now"...i was happy.."Soon, soon i shall have my cds back and they will be all mine...ALL MINE HAHHAAHHA (or some other kind of evil type laugh thing.....anyway, today i went down 2 my andy's records and picked it up and.............MY GOD DAMN FU(KING SY BASTARDING CD STILL FU(KING S|-| ITTYLY B@STARDY SKIPPS GODDAMNIT!!!!...............argh...(deep breaths now...breath in........and out....ok, carry on now) thank you sub-concious..ahem, anyway, due to this it left me slightly angry, which is undertandable.....and im now sad... :(

Wonderland skipps on Sy's but it's didn't to start with, i'm not complaining though because i have most the songs on Sy's mix somewhere else anyway :P

Yeah The Sy CD Skipping we'll all just have to live with it, it seems....Mine only skips at the very end of the last song. "forever young". A lot of the mixes on the SY "oldskool cd" were not the mixes of the tunes that were actually on Bonkers 1& 2 however.

It did make me cry at the time, but i guess i'm lucky by acctuly having a Sy CD, unlike some people who have just had two dharkey CDs, and i am also lucky that there are no old ladys working in my andy's records (but there was a v.hot girl instead.

1st post...just found this site and how good is it?!?! MINT
I bought Rezurrection on release day - I mean after so long without a new Bonkers CD what else would you do?
Two weeks on i've actually got skipping on Sy CD - last track - at about 4 mins 38 sec [approx.]
Take the CD back to HMV this morning - 'Sorry sir, try one of these great lens cleaning disks...that'll clean your player up' [regardless of the fact I don't him it skipped on my laptop [2 months old], my car CD player [8 months old] and my HiFi - about 5 years old. I also explained a couple of friends had also bought Rezurrection and they had mentioned skipping on the CDs.
So I go away havin paid 15 quid for this lens cleaner 'thing' - still skips...no surprise there. So I have a look about on the net for 'You're Shining by Breeze & Styles' cos i've fallen in love with the track...I happen to stumble across hhc.com - ooh and there's a big notice about the CDs being fubar.
So I print of the first page of the forum...whip down to HMV as fast as poss. 'Sorry sir, we won't swap your CD or give you a refund - regardless of the fact you have a receipt, because the CD appears to be scratched'
The other CDs are of the same - or WORSE condition [not that they're in any bad condition at all having been only played over the last 2 weeks non stop] and they play fine...also my other thousand or so CDs work fine, @ home, in the car or on the laptop....I show him the dialog from hhc.com - still no joy...the manager comes down...interates the points the scrote @ the desk does...
So there you have it...HMV suck...I have Rezurrection that skips...i'll be calling HeadOffice Monday and maybe contacting React too to let them know how shit HMV are.
I did say to the manager @ HMV about opening a copy from the shelf and playin that and seein if it skipped...he said he'd still not give me a refund - I said 'What you gunna do? Sell the bloody CD on if it's in good nick?' Bit of a con going on somewhere....
Anybody else have problems taking their CD back? Maybe I should just keep it as a keep-sake and buy a new copy when a new batch is created...
Who knows...

I'll think you find that every tune on the Sy mix has been on either Bonkers 1 or 2 and are the same version of that tune. believe me, since I got both Bonkers 1 & 2 a couple of years ago now, I have treasured them coz i know they are very rare now, and I know that all the tunes on Sy's mix are the versions off either 1 or 2. Soz Sy!

I also own all Bonkers 1-7 (I got them every time they came out from the first in 1996) + The Rezurection. And Yes on second listen most tunes are the same as the ones on Bonkers 1 & 2 however "Toytown" is different because it's the none vocal version which only appeared on Bonkers 3.

Matt, I think he realises that it's not HMV's fault for the skipping error, although they are crap because they will not recognise the problem and rectify it - bad customer service.
