http://www.myspace.com/dainjadj Checkout our new track called "Someone". Very vocally and trancy with some hard acid stuff in the second breakdown. |

Awesome mate, I like that vocal. Not too "pop cheese". More of a trance vibe, deffo missing more of this sort of vocal in Hardcore these days.
That second breakdown is wicked too. 8) |

Not too sure on the vocal personally, but I guess with vocals its personal preference.
Musically its very good though, enjoyed it :) |

Glad most of you like it. Vocals are always personal preference. This is a very unusual vocal for hardcore and because of the gating on the pella it was a very complicated engineering feat to get the levels right (had to reproduce the slicing and filtering to overlay the gated part, etc). I really like these softer, less cheesy vocals but I'm working on some other bits with the more common hardcore style.
Yeah, we obviously ripped off the trance track but we have a different bassline and about 10x more riffs ;) Probably wouldn't have that many but we started the track about a year ago so we had lots of ideas... :P
EFM-7 is indeed Canadian. We share a studio in my basement (in Ottawa) and every once in a while we make tracks together.

So... when can I pirate this? :P
No really, those are som good shit on your myspace.
Are you getting these releases somewhere or are you totally going to hog them for yourself?
Triq: Yea, EFM-7 lives in Canada, or did atleast <- Dain was quicker than me :P |

It's just set filler for myself, I don't like when other people play my stuff.
I'm joking ;)
The tracks Eugene and I collaborated on are in Kevin Energy's hands. I haven't bothered sending any of the other ones out - I'm still waiting to finish my last vocal track before sending them because it's probably my best track and has more commercial appeal.
Keep your eyes peeled for stuff over the next year I presume.
I'll also be launching a Canadian vinyl+digi hardcore label so expect a lot more from Canadian artists like EFM-7 and I, phosphor and perhaps others (if I can convince Hujib, Ruffage and others). Focus will be very emotional music with alot of filters and stuff. Basically, the style I usually play. |

Super work Someone epic the breakdown bit on the choon. |

Is there a link to it other than than Myface?

Haha, that's a proper bit of music with a lot of careful work gone into it. Very nice! |

Very nice track! I like the plucked synth and atypical vocal, why be like everyone else? :p
Oh and what's that box you're holding in the pic? |
Dain-Ja |
That's a Futuretro 777 monophonic synth
makes wicked acid (7 pole resonance!) |

Personally liked 777 more. |
