"In Complete Darkness" is a gem of a tune, I'm just wondering if this guys made anything else worth hearing? |

That's the only one anyone's ever heard. |

I didnt like Slipmatts as much as the 1994 original.
It has a feeling about it that cant be replicated with modern day DAWs and sequencers

The same is true for Slipmatt's remix! Unless he's done some Rave Breaks remix. But I'm referring to the one from 1995. There is very little difference between the remix and the original. Slipmatt just did his usual technique of improving songs but changing very little. |

That's true. I can't see how anyone can like one more than the other as there is very little difference.

Slipmatt's remix was an update to match the style at the time (slightly faster, more of a 4/4 kick). The main sections of the track are whole sections sampled out of another track.
Enzyme & Malice did a Hardcore Breaks remix in 2006/2007 which IMO captured the vibe of the original pretty well. |

i disagree, its hard to explain, but the original had purer sounds, less layers going at once and so on.
Its not just about what it sounds like either, its how you as an individual feel about the tune. For me, the original is a perfect example of hardcore in an early form and effects me emotionally more than the updated one by slipmatt. |

I'm with acidfluxxbass on this one, much prefer Fat Controller's original version. Less is more here. |

Isn't he a bit of a YouTube warrior these days, making sure it doesn't appear on there in any shape or form?! |

If you're gonna be known for making just one track, it may aswell be a monster like 'In Complete Darkness'.
He has a weekly old skool show on Dream FM. |

He has done a remix of "2 Croozin - Code Red" for Kniteforce which he played on his show this week and will be released in the coming months/weeks. As far as I know it's the first bit he's done in a long time, and it's a very nice remix actually.
I read somewhere that after he did In Complete Darkness, he never thought he would be able to produce anything like that again, so simply didn't try. That could be inaccurate, like, but I'm sure that's what I read.
As for the original or Slipmatt remix thing - I prefer the original, play it much more often in mixes, in fact I did just last weekend. |

This is an old thread I can't remember replying to at the time but I have heard the original now from this topic was made, and like already been stated they are very similar, but I think I can remember preferring slipmatts remix when I heard the original, don't know if it's because i'm used to hearing that version or I think its just better |
MC Deecee |
I heard him play a few times recently, epidemiks 21st birthday event in november, bunters nye event at union, and then fusion on saturday, spoke to him many times and found him to be a really nice bloke, which is always a bonus. |

People say MC Storm is a nice bloke too. But he goes into a hissy fit for everything.
Everyone likes DJ Sy, but he rapes children (what MC Storm and MC Keyes implicated with their outting of him).
who can we trust? :P |
