first of all, WHAT UP HARDCORE PEOPLE!!!
I havnt had a chance to post on this site for a while, this is actually the first time ive gotten on here in like a year........its been too long. All i have to say is HOLY SHIT theres alot of people on here now.....
anyways......ive noticed that hardcore is evolving:
i keep hearing that classic jungle back up break, which is one of the most familiar characteristics of hardcore, getting more and more use. (Ive fallen in love with KFA for this reason) But i also here the trancy side of hardcore becoming more and more popular.(particularly with the recent releases of jelly baby and raver baby's newest tracks)
Im stuck......i love 'em both. I use both sub-genres in my set(s) frequently and im wondering what the future hold for the Hardcore-ness. Any one else have any opinions on the subject??

With a few exceptions, I'm not a huge fan of the Baby style. I LOVE breakbeat, though. Long live the Amen break!!!

thats what music does, it evolves....
Like hip-hop for example.
compare the old-skool MCs (like Grand Master Flash) to the new-skool "rap" (like ja-rule, master p, p-daddy or diddy or whatever) and theres a huge difference. Just like old-skool hardcore to nu-skool.

"If anything, hardcore is more deversified now then it has ever been before. You want break beat stuff, it's there. You want darker "nu style" it's there. The happier vocal stuff is there. The trancy stuff is there.
It's a wonderful time to be a hardcore fan." - Silver1

ive also noticed that hardcore has gotten a little trancier......not just thumping bass but music with a little melody....i reckon its only getting better

There is a type of hardcore at raves for everyone:
Happy,trancey,dark,gabba,freeform...etc.
Because like Sharkey said "Not everyone wants to go to a rave to be happy
and not everyone wants to go to a rave and be dark."
This way everyone can be happy.

breaks have been around alot longer than trancy style so i think for the mo break will stay put as leader slowly dying out for trancy to take over. i'm more of a trancer myself but each to their own.

the only evolution i ent liking is the tendency for certain dj's (*ahem*styles*ahem*hixxy*ahem*) to play sets at around 160bpm!!!! sorry people but at least do one choon in a set at 170-175 uthawise it ent really fast enuff!!! we wanna go maaaaaaad!!! lets do a night where if dj's go under 175 all night they get an electric shock in their tits, that'll learn 'em! an cover the floor in slow bonding glue so ppl hu sit down cant get back up again. and get a free cup of coffeeee for vryone on their way out, and a free bottle of water on entry, and free wearable merchanndise, like necklaces an stuff, and foam comin out the roof, and a SMOKING ROOM where we can go to make and smoke spliffs without fear of any hassle whatsoever, and a white lable vinyl stall, where all the dj's ar selling off spare advance copies of their current choons, for A POUND A PIECE, and bent security, who'll sort you out with anything you ant, and beat up anyone with an attitude, and sprinklers in the roof, and a section of land, jus a two minute walk away, that is a large coffee shop stall, that is legally part of amsterdam, an can so legally sell marijuana, any sort u like, and huge dogs, 50 foot tall, but that dont hurt,, a huge one of them dulux dogs, so u can lean on its back an its reall warm an comfy, and free cbs back to wherever you like, and free ice poles!!! two hundred thousand ice poles in britain'/s largest freezer, twentuy for every attendant, and flights to a deserted carribean island for a two day after party, and thousands and thousands of HAPPY HAPPY PEOPLE!
got a bit carried away there...
"added to events..."!
Because like Sharkey said "Not everyone wants to go to a rave to be happy
and not everyone wants to go to a rave and be dark."
This way everyone can be happy....
or dark ;0)
