the average speed is 6 -> 10 MB/s for copying 60GB onto it

Samination you seem to be wizard on this, is it possible to format a USB drive to multiple partitions?

I'd be flabbergasted if that wasn't a much smaller USB with hacked firmware to show 500GB.
