arpz I finally got this done, I'll leave it open until there's a reasonable number of votes (readership of this forum has probably dropped a fair bit since Shades started this project)

I will update the page with the info of previous winning tunes soon but for now I've just done this in 10 mins on my lunch break.

Please go and vote for your favourite 5 or less tunes of 1999

http://fikshun.me/?page_id=150
latininxtc Yay I'm the first one to vote!

Did some of these tracks really get released in 1999? I've heard them in compilation albums that were released way before that.

EDIT: nevermind, thought an album where I heard some of these tracks was released in 1998 but it was released in 1999.
ultraskool A lot of tunes from 1999 were just so-so. But in contrast, tunes from 1995-1998 were just awesome. I think this was the period of Trance music slowly taking over, as it was coming up to the Millennium year and it felt quite difficult to sustain the 'Happy' vibe, as people were starting to sombre up to what the future held in store after year 2000. Having said that, some tunes were still up there - not quite sure whether Elysium Scott Brown was released that year, but still a top ten tune.

Still, I could listen to any of those tunes and not get bored vs crappy Radio music.!
arpz @latinxtc To be honest, I didn't actually check. I'm having some faith that I'll either notice or the anoraks here will flag up inaccuracy in the nominations thread

@ultraskool Well, you say that, and I kinda considered 1999 to be a bit lacklustre but there's some absolute anthems on the list

We have 6 votes in total so far, hopefully get a few more than that :)
Samination vinylgroover and trixxy's expansion and Scott brown's yeah oh yaeh are listed twice. THE POLLS ARE RIGGED! LETS MAKE HARDCORE GREAT AGAIN!!
arpz Argh..well there's good news about that, only one version of each one had a vote so I think it's totally fine to do what I've just done, which is get rid of the zero vote entry. sorry everyone.

Smoogie Bang! Give me a Reason (Brisk Remix)

Trixxy - Sunrise

Northen Lights - Love of my life )Brisk Remix)

I don't think I know the others suggested so only voted for 3.

No surprise to see Elysium on there though even though I might not like it as much as other tunes from that era

1999 is not a year I follow as much as others and as I haven't listened to much late 90s Hardcore n a long time I have forgotten the names of some tunes.

I would be better with 95/96 Hardcore really as most of my collection which includes vinyl's is of that stuff although these days I am listening to Hard House so even then I am loosing track of certain tunes
Mickey Init Good work, arpz.

Don't know why I didn't put down this - https://www.discogs.com/Mr-X-Mr-Xs-Tales-From-The-Hardcore-Side/release/262686

Show Me The Sunshine is doing well in the poll. Will surely cause problems if it comes out too and the project delivers.
arpz hmm, yeah... maybe we can use the project to try and get it released lol

What do you think we should do if it does come out on top? The version from happy 2b hardcore 5 is probably long enough to use in a mix, or we could specify a remix, or we could take the 2nd best track...
arpz Ok, I think that'll do. 17 votes in total, winner is *drumroll*

Scott Brown - Elysium
