Put your nominations for the best tune of 2001 in this thread please.
You can make it easier for me by not nominating a tune that's already been suggested :)
Samination
Just noticed there's alot of Blatant Beats and Next gen missing sfrom the 2000 list :(
Anyways, here's my nominations for 2001
Brisk & Fade - Skillz & Stylez
Brisk & Fade - Want Your Love
Q-Tex - Let the Bass Go (Equazion part 11)
Scott Brown - Blue Room
Force & Styles - Look at Me Now (ft MC Junior)
johnnygomental
Storm & Herman - let it be the night. 😁 Beast
djDMS
Scott Brown - Come on
arpz
We can do a bit better than this, right? (Yes I'm aware I haven't made my choices yet...)
Thumpa
Force & Styles - Make Believe
Breeze & Styles - Futureset
Samination
Kinda suprising that no one has nominated more. I only nominated 5 because i dont wanna pick all the choices :P
arpz
Thumpa, according to discogs, future set was 2002 :(
Hixxy - Welcome
Scott Brown - Enlightened
...
Hixxy ft. MC Storm - Just Accept it ;P
Mickey Init
Jimmy J & Cru-L-T - Hand Of Destiny (Evil & Cru-L-T Remix)
The Vampire - Summer Breeze (I don't think this one was very popular but I used to cane it)
Stealth - See Me Climb (DNA Remix)
Cynista vs Safe n Sound - Chemical Warfare
Captain Triceps
Hixxy & UFO - Castles
Force & Styles featuring Lisa - Make Believe
Q-Tex - Let The Bass Go
Hixxy & UFO - It's Alright
Scott Brown - Turn Up The Music (Discogs says 2000 but I'm sure that's wrong?!)
I must say it's actually alarming how old these tunes are but it really seems like yesterday I was calling IMO records or jumping on a train to Manchester for these records.

I never say the point of Just Accept It
Surely nobody is going to struggle to accept somebody likes going to raves and isn't a drug addict. If my kids said that to me I would be delighted.

Why oh why can't you just accept it? On the weekend I do take copious amounts of drugs but I'm usually only 10 minutes late for work on Monday

My suggestion:
Force and Styles Show me Sunshine (Fade and Bannanaman Remix)

Major disappointment considering who did it. Why the hell did they not release the original along with it? Or even instead of it.
djDMS
It really is one of life's great mysteries
dj switchback
Was only Fade that remixed that. Bananaman was out of the loop by then. It's the only Fade track during that time which sucked as well.
Anyway, 2001 tracks I'd pick
Hixxy & UFO - Welcome
Brisk & Fade - Skills & Styles
The Omen - Bad Ass
Brisk & Ham - Serious Hardcore
Interstate - Move Your Body.

Completely different vibe going on from the original, both are great tracks. Has already said here shame original was never released. Original would sound good mixed with Unique - Feeling Fine

Wasn't there a post on facebook about all of the Force & Styles tunes being gathered for release? Or can we expect them around the same time as the Raver Baby digitals?
Captain Triceps
Yeah I asked Force about Show Me The Sunshine and he said he had spoken to Styles and they would be making an album. This was like two years ago though.

Yeah was a F&S Fan page set up by Force, don't think Styles was involved or cares. Was talk of the classics getting released, not sure if the page is still up.
The BIG problem is Hixxy or even maybe aatw owns the UK Dance back catalogue.
Thumpa
I sold my dubplate of Show Me The Sunshine for ?75, got a bangin wav of it too!

Anyways, didn't Hixxy say something about getting the digitals out too (supposedly with EP and UKD aswell) a few years ago?
djDMS

I have the vinyl of this. The B side is called 'For your face'
It is from 2001 but has a bit of a mid 90s flavour to it
Captain Triceps
Yeah, I've got it as well. I did like "In Your Face".
It took 2.08 ninja's to process this page!
