DJ Mouse yes i just saw an advert advertising a car mag, with a happy hardcore tune in the background (don't know which one)
but do you all think this is a good thing? the first stage of happy hardcore going commercial perhaps? that's what i think

bowzer lol what kinda car?

virus theres been jungle in car adverts for like 5 years.. doesnt change anything..

DiamondDog Everyone thought hardcore was going commercial back in '98 with the release of 'Heart of Gold' but it never really took off. I think it's too alternative to ever become very popular because of it's speed and the whole 'cheesiness' surrounding many of the tracks. People just can't handle it.

Lightweights.

Would Tommy Kirkwood, and Lynne come to the surge tent out front immediately, this is proper urgent.
Midway_raver im sure they play hardcor eon kids tv too? ( or am i just being stupid) many a tyime sive polle din from skol n my sis has been sat there watchin CITV n ive fort hmm dat trak sounds familar n then fort no it cudnt b n left da room.

bowzer *looks 2 posts up...* err... ya, what he said.

DJ-SK8 Yeah there's also a japanese game called "Dance Dance revolution" and iy has shooting star & Hart of gold in it.

My god how long have those mice been living your back fat?!?!?!
miss-mitzi oh my god really? wot is the world comin 2 .......... everythin started from happy hardcore!

If computer games effected us kids, we would all be runnin around in dark rooms munchin magic pills and listenin to repetative music!
DJ CURLY u know that bloke up there speaking gibberish i know what hes on about.
i was watching citv(i dont watch it properly nothing else was on) and cardcaptors(a cartoon) came on and the themetune sounds like a happyhardcore tune, i swear.
try to find the tune on the internet its quite good
if i find it ill post a link.

" when ya dont know where to go and lifes kinda slow ya gotta hit the raves and let your body lose control release the tension the pressure is high roll with the flow get high on the ride"
Simon I Think I better watch TV more yeah?

you, me and hardcore forever.
collo Dudes....

It died in holland because it was way too commercial.. so why wouldn't it go that way in other territories?

virus well dutch happy hardcore was much more commercial sounding and radio friendly.

Midway_raver hehehe yeah read Dreamscape's post for the translation:) I'm pretty sure the theme tunes for a lot of japanese cartoons are happy hardcore too?

Like a bolt of lightning it's so frightning..Get ur brain now we're igniting
farchid i was at a fair ride and on them mad things that lift up and spin around play party animals - have you ever been mellow and a rave tune which i cant rememba and i heard a non happy hardcore version of discoland on a babby programme....eh he he little cousin!

Thank god someone else saw that, I thought i was hearing sh!t since no one would back me up. They are also using alot of hardcore/freeform/happy for all their recent commercials. The add for example has a hardcore tune in the background, don't know what's it caled but it's on a bass-d and king matthew mix after "Killing me softly".

"Well it just goes on and on and you don't stop, party people winding up and keep on going til you drop YEAH!
Annex *nods* that's something i've noticed for a while, not just happycore
but... well ill call it "electronic" and or "dance" type in general...
(as was mentioned jungle etc)

alota this stuff gets used for a whole crapload of advretisments... the thing is.. i still don't think it's a big step to it becoming all commercial and mainstream (not in north america anyway) cuz most ppl who aren't into it, that here proper happycore and most electronic 'rave' music lol... can't take it for long ;)

my theory is... the car companies etc.. know it rocks.. but they are also wise, and know the general public can only take it in small doses... about the length of oh say... a commercial! ;)
hehe

Potatoe
Heist They had an ad for Law and Order oif all things with a bouncey sounding track in the background. And A buffy ad had a hardcore track too! Go Fox8!

Weird Fish I guess on a tv advert aint that bad,
it could help in getting more fans.......it could be worse (don't even wanna think about it)
