Bondy I think this is great. And the fact its going to remain hardcore is even better. This is really good for the hardcore scene. This will get the awareness of hardcore really out there. When I first got me Save me a few months back alot of my friends who wernt into hardcore really liked it so im sure it will do well. Whats all your thoughts?
ihaveduff i must say that i love the "midnight" mix... just acoustic instruments (no drums :P) with lyrics! sounds great
Smoogie Have you read my topic started 'Is Darren Styles a pop star now then?' which I posted earlier? It is the same as this really lmao!

Not really, you filled the opening post on that one with crap as per usual.

Anyway, I personally don't mind hardcore tracks having such success, surely you can't blame someone who makes music for being supportive of their music getting more exposure. It's when hardcore gets made a certain way just to acheive commercial success that I cease to aplaud, but so far I don't think that's happened.
hardcore anorak
this is great for the scene because imo u get tunes such as field of dreams, paradise and dreams, discoland, and ppl who aint into hardcore think the remixes of tunes such as them buy flip n fill etc r the originals and we copy them so to have such a good tune as save me there ppl will take note where its come from and love it like we do respect to daz styles
warped_candykid I didnt even like the track that much. The Sy & Unknown remix was better to me, but i dunno, it just didnt stand out to me.
XenatR has it been released?

which charts is it being released into?

more info!
jenks Not sure when its getting released, AATW says the video should be on music channels in the next 2 weeks. I'd imagine it will be in the UK singles chart and probably some dance ones aswell...
DJ-Pure Well so much for the 'Scene' going forwards ey?

Fair play to MR. Styles on his success but he better not loose his roots becoming the next Tiesto, if this is the case i would expect a sertain % of his HardCore fan Base to drop.. and his new found 'Pop Star' fan base rise this maby the case it may not be.. only time will tell.

Good Single tho
whittle1 I'm quite happy that the hardcore version could be released in the charts.
The track is fantastic!
Uproar I think it's the "official" commercialisation of Hardcore.

Why?
Sk8SiM AND THE RACE IS ON!!!!
Which will makle it to #1 first

Save me or Cillit Bang!!!

COME ON JAKAZID!!!! PUT STYLES IN HIS PLACE!!!!
Triquatra the official commercialisation was clearly hardcore euphoria lol

everyone knows how big the euphoria albums are, how many are there now? 50? thats a huge nod to hardcore to have a euphoria album.
Underloop How many official commercialisations (notice the s you americans ;-) ) are we going to have? First it was when Bonkers charted, then another compilation charted, then Ministry of Sound got in on the act, and Nukleuz...... at the end of the day the music is what it is, no matter how many people listen to it.

Personally I wish Styles every success in the charts. If it charts high it charts high, if not, hey there'll be other singles! The people who are against a Hardcore single being successful enough to make the UK Top 40 - how do you feel about the Prodigy?
Lilley imo getting better is about a billion times better than save me and getting better should be in the charts instead, it would do a hell of a lot more in advertising hardcore than save me would

I agree too, can't stop listening to this tune!
Sir Pill-a-Lot Why does it day on AATW (a website that i hate to death btw), that the vid is being filmed in Barcleona! It should be filmed in Birmingham, more specifically in a little club called Air. If its bein released as the hardcore version (thank god), i reckon it should be a hardcore video.
Jax eh?

its a comercial release not a hardcore release, the hardcore version is already out
Bondy Yeh we know, the hardcore realease is out but not commercial. They are commercialising the hardcore version.
jenks From what I can tell the commercial release is the hardcore version.
Ionosphere I've been out of touch lately.

Is this the tune that everyone's talking about? -

oooooo, controversial!! True genius mate!

Selling out 21st centruy style, big up MC Norm!
A1D9A8M7 I'm not happy about it.

The video is piss poor.

The music has been dulled.

So what if it gets to number one, it's not hardcore anymore, it's dance, the amount of people I know who hate hardcore, and love dance, and hate a hardcore song, until it's been commercialised, then they love it, and forget it was hardcore!

Pisses me off, it's like I don't get why bands dominate the charts, there's only so many sounds a band can create and it all sound exactly the same, don't get me wrong I like some, but I can't understand the majorities dislike of hardcore.

I agree with most of that too, especially the people "hating" hardcore, but then loving a hardcore track when its been "danced" up - like you said it was hardcore in the 1st place!

Its good that its raising awareness of the scene & Good Luck to Darren, i just hope he doesnt forget his roots.
