After several months in the making and some further delays, Crush On Hardcore 4 is here for your listening and stomping pleasure!

The mighty 5 CD successor to the critically acclaimed COH3 comes with a pleasantly stunning variety of styles, from happy bouncy singalong anthems to dark and twisted monsters. Some of the tracks have been written exclusively for COH4 and the long list of featured artists includes such massive names as Darwin, Fracus, Sharkey, Brisk, Weaver, Hixxy, Impact, Uplift, Stormtrooper, Orbit1, S3RL - not to mention the COH4 DJs' own productions and some very interesting material from up & coming producers.

Almost 6 hours of amazing upbeat music. Over 100 excellent tracks.

A very special treat for the UK crew - COH4 Launch Party in association with Cruze-In, 18 July 2009! Excellent lineup, legendary Cruze-In atmosphere, free entry... If you can make it - be there!

Finally, make sure you stop by the official COH website and subscribe to either the e-mail newsletter or the RSS news. We'll be adding some interesting stuff there in the coming days, so make sure you don't miss out on anything! :)

näkkk awesome, on the download!
feelthebuzz Woot woot -downloading- Good stuff guys!
DaX sm00th says i cant open the file because it is non existant or corrupt? im shit with computers someone help !
X5s which file is giving you the issue? I thought I checked them all but one of them may have slipped past me.
Triquatra all worked fine for me, listening to CD1 at the moment..
m0nKeY I'm on it! Been waiting ages for this. Thanks for all the hard work put in by everyone on the COH team to provide us with an amazing free compilation. :)
DaX sm00th seems to be all of them, ive downloaded the 1st two mixes so far and when i try to open them it says : the compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupt and when i try to extract the files it says there are no files to extract. should i save to disk or open when i download them?
Quicksilver Listened to the first CD and really liked the first 2/3. :) Last 1/3 was okay.

Make sure the filesize matches the size listed on the download page. If it does indeed match it then any zip file opener should work without an issue. If it doesn't match the filesize then the downloads are not finishing correctly and you may want to look into using a download manager.
Eufeion Enjoy guys - hope ya like

An remember the UK Launch Party in assoistion with Cruze-In THIS Saturday at JDs in Sutton, Coldfield!!
nifelan Yay! :)
But what happened to the whole lossless-deal?
Quicksilver CD2 is better than CD1, in my opinion. I've always loved Impact's remix of Kick Ya Legs (although I wonder - why have they made the female vocals sound so horrible? if you know what I mean, when she sings like "You show me"-blabla) and Zelda's Ass and Crowd Go Donk are wicked. Bridge Zone - lovely chiptune! :D

EDIT: Is it just me or does In Your Arms (last track on CD2) end in the middle of the song? :S

When I saw this in the tracklist I thought "wouldn't it be great if it was a remix of Bridge Zone from Sonic The Hedghog on the Sega Master System, I doubt it though".

Upon downloading and listening, oh my God it is, this is the greatest album ever. :P
Wilky 60 days for one mix haha
Torpex There's definitely something wrong on your side Wilky... Have you tried using a download manager?

Are you kidding, Torpex? It must be a mistake. :P

Here, I've uploaded a clip so you can hear how my version sounds like. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?hyiidwn5yna

Tell me that isn't a mistake, tell me it's a "professional" DJ edit. Hahaha.
Torpex Indeed, it's not. However it's not the end of Eufeion's mix. You seem to be missing some of the "tail".

(Hahaha.)

Just re-download. :)

Thanks,

Ben
Remane wooo finally! :)
m0nKeY Only had time to really listen to the Haze & Suae disc so far and really enjoying it. Top tracks at the moment on that CD are 'Hotchkiss & Stu Infinity - Last Goodbye' and 'Weaver - Voices'. Quite like 'Impact - Live Your Life' and 'Haze & Suae feat. MC Destiny - Collaboration (Edit Mix)' as well.
acidfluxxbass have to say, so far I'm really liking this!

The Haze and Suae mix was okay. In fairness I'm not too keen on the vocal style of hardcore, but having listened through it, there are some banging tracks that have been well produced and mixed very well. Live your Life, Rippin' Up Wax, Tell Me Why, and The Collaboration had me hooked, though.

The Eufeion and E-vade mix starts with that classic Zelda's ass! That tracks certainly exeeded all my expectations! Turntable DeeJays, I Feel Nothing are others I liked in the first part of the CD. Bridge Zone sounds like a classic Sonic remix, which I like. The 8 bit sound thing has really caught on now. Busty Jam is another I'm liking. I loved the original Seduction & Eruption version of the tune from the 90's and this redition sounds quite nice. WTF is great. It was a matter of time until someone would have another crack at Fatboy Slims Star 69, since Scott Brown did ages ago, I believe. I was surprised to see Hixxy's name down the bottom of the cue file! I wasn't keen on his song, but for him, it's probably a turn in the right direction. The CD was mixed well, but I really thought Kick you Legs in the Air dragged on a bit.. Overal, top notch :)

Entity's mix on 'ANEWERA' was fantastic. I kept re-re-re-rewinding it to particular parts! This year starts on really well too! Enough is a very nice trancey track which also has the feat of containing a great breakbeat too. Orbit1's remix of Transmission To Mars, in fairness, did disappoint me slightly, though I'm unsure why. I guess too much of the original track was changed for me to enjoy it as a remix... It also seems a bit too D'n'b for me, which is odd because I normally enjoy this kind of D'n'b with the grimey bassline. Tweak! is great! I love the vocal cuts used to make a melody or something. A very similar thing was done in COH3 in the same place of the CD! However, I can't remember the track title.. Watami is another very nice track. Very nice vocals, despite being gibberish to me. The track has very nice piano riff's and very cool sounds. Anon's No One Else was a track I heard on Podcast 4 from Luna-c. It's a nice track, though It doesnt strike me entirely as a favourite. Electric Pulsedrive is an example of the types of tracks I wish Darwin would make more often! It's a nice track; very dark with unique sounds and sound arrangement. A Lifetime Of Wickedness is just Hattrix at his producing best. I love the way he can bring the best out of any sample in pure hardcore greatininess! Just as last time, I'm ficated on the last track of this CD. This time, Take a trip is the victim of my rewinding xD Kudos Entity, great mix!

The Lee UHF & Andy Freestyle certainly doesnt start off mellow! The PSA announcement is just such a great set of vocals. However, the track struggles to entertain me, really. I guess I'm used to the 4 bar modulation in the bass rather than the big rises. After some dark hardcore madness, I entered the old skool realm! Blow The Roof is one of my favourites and I'm pleased its on there, but you have to include the 3,2,1,1,1,1! Pleased to hear some Sharkey MCing in Terrabeat. And Wow! A track I've been on the look out for, for a very long time was the original version of NoseBleed, and there it is! Love it! Must say, whilst gabber/hardstyle or dark hardcore, whatever this is called, isn't my best style of hardcore, there were plenty of great tracks and its a nice nice nice new flavour to COH. The mixing was okay, through some transitions I'm not too keen on, such as Punk > Crack Machine at 70 minutes..

Cruze & Breaks have unleashed a fantastic mix. This really does showcase the best of my favourite unhead of artists. Auscore with Unidentified Frequencies, Clodhopper with Blow Your Mind, Sc@r with Hardcore Power, Protonic with Funky Jam, and Hattrixx with The Robot. Whilst the tracks are all great, the mixing really does impress me. The tracks are short and the mix flows through them very well, taking you in every direction possible. People say hardcore isnt changing, but this CD begs to differ. Lots of very different styles used here that keeps every second of the mix fresh.

All in all, this has been a great great album. Everyone involved with it has done a fantastic job, once again. Difficult to express appreciation when the project is so huge, and yet free. But yeah, nice one :)

I hate it. When did Orbit1 start collaborating with Pendulum lol

Gone straight to CD3, after listening to a few tracks on CD1 and looking at the tracklist i can tell it's not gonna be my kind of thing. Whereas 3 onwards sounds right up my street

Will post back with proper feedback when i've listened to the whole thing.
Triquatra had a chance to listen to all of the cds now
and the songs that stood out for me...

Eufeion - zelda's ass
ionosphere - infant
lost soul - human being
stirfell - enough
darwin - ready for love
Krime - Hurt You Again (Orbit1 Remix)

think i enjoyed CD4 the most...but i heard all the tracks before

also great to see donna grassie vocaling in there!

It should play to the end of the second main riff section before the outro an it does this nifty DJ Edited cut like the track ends with a boom an stuff ;)
Actuator I'd hate to spread the hate, but I'm giving my honest opinion because I have to say it.

COH3 was such an amazing album to me cuz of all the pure wicked freeform. But this, well, I count maybe 4 or 5 real freeform tracks out of the whole 100 or wtvr tracks on the thing.

Maybe I should've expected this since Eufeion took over, but he used to be Leigh Outrage and used to make swell freeform-so I kinda hoped for maybe like half freeform half other or something, you know?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the hard work put into this album. But I was really expecting some full-on freeform like the last one. This is a great album for regular hardcore, but imo it doesnt live up to the freeform goodness of COH3.

I know most of you will disagree with me cuz most of you prefer regular/happy hardcore over freeform. But after the amazingness that was COH3, this one was just a major disappointment to me.
Torpex Your honesty is very much appreciated, sir. We'll take all constructive opinions and criticism into account.

Keep those reviews coming, guys!
Dogsy Thanks for this guys! just started listening to the Eufeion and E-vade mix...wow Auscore Bridgezone I thought I heard something familier about that! Good that hardcores bringing back my sonic memories! Like zelda at the start aswell. so far this cds banging well done guys! Got more listing to do yet...looking forward to Entity!
tru bass Dont listen to these lot, COH3 bored me to high heaven, hours after hours of 303s really annoys me.

THIS ALBUM IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR..

If someone were to ask me what UK Hardcore was i would shove this under their noses as a perfect example of the premium stuff..

Please make coh5 like this one..

I got that feeling when I heard the same Sonic samples I used in my remix of Fluxx's Upon the Green Hill!

Great minds think alike.
GrahamC How cool is this - 5 CDs completely free - printed mine all up nice. Doing the covers tomorrow on the office colour laser beastie!

I agree its good uk hardcore. And I'm not saying the album is bad.

I just prefer the innovation I saw in the freeform on coh3. Like I said, most ppl will disagree with me. I can't do anything about it. I just hope that the innovation in freeform lives on. maybe not in crush on hardcore, but hopefully elsewhere.
Jimouk Crush on Hardcore 1 is still my favourite, but this is still good... and free!
Wilky Bangin out mix 1 so far so good, apart from the obvious **** up top mix tho

Just because I changed my name dosn't mean I've stopped doing freeform - I just havnt produced it in a while ;)

Maybe you should go an have a listen to:

DJ Impact - DJs Calling (Eufeion & Denile Remix)
On my myspace: http://www.myspace.com/eufeionhardcore

yeah....I've stopped doing freeform ;)

an yep me & Denile are back in the studio!!

redwingz Fantastic Album

Haze and Suae have dont a great job, some real great tracks on there including:
Hotchkiss & Stu Infinity - Last Goodbye
Weaver feat. Vicky Fee - Fading Away (Haze Remix)
J.T.S. - The Request

Entity is superb as ever!! My highlights:
Entity, CLSM & Niki Mak - You Are Mine (COH Mix)
Fracus - Never Coming Back
Lost Soul - Human Being

Lee UHF and Andy Freestyle - so far for me, they have the best mixing ability of all the DJs, a few great tracks, but a few very poor ones but the mixing is water tight to me. Best tracks:
Robbie Long & Devastate - PSA
Marc Smith - Revival

Will listen to the other 2 tonight
iano I love Eufeion & E-Vade mix! Sitting in work and just about to restart it for the third time... Really need to move on listen to the other mixes but I jus cant. LeeUHF Acidfluxx-
Thanks for the great feedback on the mix :) I would term our hardcore as just great banging bouncy party hardcore. bit of everything thrown in over it for good measure to keep it changing direction and interesting.

Triquatra-
You sure you`ve heard ALL of the tracks before dude ;)

redwingz-
Which tracks did you feel were quite poor?

Im very pleased with the feedback guys and proud to be included in this mix along with Freestyle.

We decided to do a history of big kick uk hardcore to just try and be different, me and Andy play alot of different types of hardcore in our sets so its not something we always do either to do a mix full of big kickdrums.

Although it might not be everyones bag, we thought the mix needed this as everything else on the album would just be upfront uk hardcore. so a nice classics mix blended with some of our newer material was a must for us.

I agree with most though would love to see some purist freeform mix on the next volume.

Keep the feedback coming guys, meantime check out some more material on my new podcast www.leeuhf.com/bedlamhardcast

thanks again

Auscore with Unidentified Frequencies, Clodhopper with Blow Your Mind, Sc@r with Hardcore Power, Protonic with Funky Jam, and Hattrixx with The Robot. Whilst the tracks are all great, the mixing really does impress me. The tracks are short and the mix flows through them very well, taking you in every direction possible. People say hardcore isnt changing, but this CD begs to differ. Lots of very different styles used here that keeps every second of the mix fresh.

Glad you enjoyed our Mix m8, we are really pleased with the end result :)

Thanks for the Comments, It's much appreciated.

Torpex UK crew, be there tomorrow:

robertybob I too would have been very happy to pay money for this in CD form! I'm too lazy to print it all out etc lol.

Fav tracks - Fading Away, Last Goodbye and Sc@r & Tony Benino - I Feel Nothing (does anyone know where's the vocal sample from?)

... Gotta say,.. I'm a little disappointed.

Where is the mind blowing freeform / breakbeat hardcore that I was expecting ???

It starts off great with > StrifeII (one of the greatest opening tracks ever)
, but then takes sharp turn into slightly generic UK Hardcore (yawn) ...

My thoughts exactly! I'm glad at least one person agrees with me.

But I've already given my rant. I guess we just gotta wait for coh5.

Actually, I'm having second thoughts about Entity's mix.

I've listened through it a few more times now, It is growing on me.

I really like Tracks 1, 8 , 9 and 13

But there are a few "filler tracks" in between that I either don't like or are too short to really appreciate, and still not as much Breakbeat Hardcore as I would of liked.

Trimms I am on disc 1 and this is off the ****ing chain!!!!!

And free!?!?! I would buy this in a heartbeat. I'm sure a lot of people would.

Also if someone could explain how to use the cue files to split it into tracks it would be appreciated.
JustIncredible I use Medieval CUE splitter, but I'm sure that there are better programs.
skorpion Congrats wicked project ! Thanks
Mortis Darwin - Electric Pulsedrive is the first hardcore track in a long time that's made me think "**** me that's good".

cheers mate! Glad u like x
glitzandglowz Had a bit of a listen, in no paticular order, jumping especially to Auscore, S3RL, CLSM and Darwin tracks (can't help myself :) )

Entity & Darwin - Your Own Destiny ... Just wonderful.

But I'm so biased, i'm just a massive Darwin fan. :")

I think there's something for everyone here on COH4 but I agree, there's a bit of a lack of hardcore breaks on this album, perhaps someone should chat to Reese about mixing a disc next time?
Smoogie I only downloaded half of it but when I went to download the next 3 I got: Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

Anyone want to sort this out as I thought the first two mixes where shit & was hoping the next 3 would be better..
CrushOnHardcore "Anyone want to sort this out as I thought the first two mixes where shit & was hoping the next 3 would be better.."

There are several mirrors around the www. Try this one: http://core-host.org/coh/
I'm not sure what happened to the original download page, will have a chat with Torpex.

Thank you kindly.
djDMS Just managed to finish getting through all 5 mixes and i'm still surprised by the overall quality. Definitely something for everyone so even the most negative HTID loving pansy can't dislike it all due to the sheer number of mixes.

Not really got the time to dissect it all but there are definitely moments on each mix where i remembered what i love(d) about Hardcore in the first place - if it had been more like this 2 years ago i wouldn't have started looking to get my thrills elsewhere.

A big thanks and a massive well done to all involved. Special mention for Lee UHF & Andy Freestyles mix though - absolutely stunning! Makes me wish i was being bounced around the dancefloor at Total Bedlam right now!

XI Thomas IX Nice CD .. Am LOVING it so far!!!

treetherealest I know I'm late on this. (I have dial-up, so I had to wait until I was at a place with a fast modem.) I've listened to disc 1 so far and I must say this is one of the better hardcore releases in a while. I love the vibe of the songs and enjoy certain songs that sample classic tracks..that's just me though. Thanks for releasing this. More detailed review in the future.
tlr Continuing to listen to this... and continuing to love the hell out of it. Crush On Hardcore 4 = saving my life right now.
