A post from his Brother.
My mam and sister are just back from the hospital. Mike has chest drains taking fluid from his lungs, and he's also on a ventilator to assist with the breathing. He has a catheter going into his kidneys to remove the waste and they will put food into his body intraveneously at some stage tonight/tomorrow.
According to my mum, his colour is better (he was very grey last night) so we are a little more hopeful, even though we know he's far from out of the woods AND may still not recover from the coma. Unfortunately, this is a real possibility that we will all have to face up to. Of course, the implications of what he has to face up to when he comes out of the coma can be dealt with at that point in time, I suppose.
As to his Pancreas, I don't know how much of his Pancreas are damaged, I think it's only a small amount but we don't know yet - we also don't know how his blood sugars are either - these are two major factors in his state and eventual recovery.
I am sorry that I cannot give any of ye any more information or hope at this point in time, this is all the news we have, but if it's any consolation there's a slight increase in hope in the house this evening.
Thanks to every one of you who have posted to his page as well as sending private messages and adding me as friends, I - as well as the rest of my family - are blown away with the good wishes and good vibes that you have all sent, and he'd *better* recover in order to see the kind words that people have posted.

We don't actually know what the cause is, he's had an underlying stomach/pancreas complaint for some time now and was consuming a large amount of liquid antacid over the years, so it may have been something that has been in his system for years that he would have thought was merely heartburn. The nurses said it could be from drinking, could be genetic, could be an allergy to certain foods and could even have been caused by a Scorpion sting!

Damn :( I hope he recovers. This stuff kicks home so quickly sometimes. I had a friend hemorrhage in his brain and had to go to a specialist in that london to have scans. Hes fine now though but it can really rock the boat. Really hope he recovers, he's done allot for the community and the industry. |

This doesn't sound fun at all :( In the first "brother message", I thought that NuFoundation was diabetic, because of the mention of blood sugar. If you don't take your insulin properly, afet a while most of your body functions will fail. I know since my brother's diabetic and he doesn't take his insulin properly.
I had to google the antacid bit, cause I thought it was a (illegal) drug or something.
Also a notice on what the nurse said. I don't think it's genetics, cause those 'errors' usually happens in the family atleast each 2nd or 3rd generation. Ofcourse his brother hasn't mentioned anything about it (atleast, I havent checked FB, since I dont like that site).
Anyways, maybe we should create a donation to the family, if they have problems funding the operations needed... or the funeral if its that bad :(

It's definitely terrible news but it's even worse that people actually already talk about funerals everywhere!! I believe in him and his recovery, and I hope he won't have to deal with too big consequences once he's thru all of this. He is one (if not THE one) of my favourite new-Hardcore producers and gave me hope again in the scene :) I hope he gets well soon and that everything will be alright! |

Mikey's not doing too well today and could really use a super strong dose of prayer and positive thoughts, along with his family. Pierce is a bit overwhelmed and exhausted, with due cause. And has asked me to post in here letting you guys know that now is the time if you haven't already..to PLEASE keep them in your thoughts, hearts, and prayers. I'll leave the details to his condition up to his family to make public, when they've got enough strength to. But the need for prayer is crucial tonight. :( HANG IN THERE MIKEY!! An update from a post on USH.
The latest from Mikes brother:
"We weren't sure whether to post this evening or not, things looked so different last week and we were so hopeful, but we know people are waiting to hear about what is happening, so if we can post the good we also need to post the bad.
Our poor brother is not doing well at all these last 2 days, he's on 7 different types of drugs, each ...with their own drip, as well as being given Oxygen to support his failing Lungs and Dialysis to support his failed Kidneys. One of the drugs he is on is Adrenaline to boost his blood pressure.

The only thing working well is his heart, thank God, but we have been told by the Doctors that his chances of making it through this are very slim. We aren't giving up hope yet - and neither are the medical staff - but the swing from bad to... good to bad has been horrific on all of us. Not to mention poor Michael who is in really poor condition and a very strange hue of dark pink/purple. While only God knows what will happen, it's going to take a miracle to turn this around from what we can see.
To make matters worse(!), our Mum was admitted to the same hospital yesterday with increased levels of Warfarin in her blood and slight Liver issues. We have spent the last 2 days running from Ward to Ward and are all just worn out, as you can imagine, but family and neighbours have been fantastic.
We cannot emphasise how frightening this is for all involved. We would ask that you keep up the amazing work with prayers, etc, as we know the energy from the prayers is reaching him, somehow. There is a VERY VERY slim chance of him pulling through this, and while we want to believe that he will, we may have to face up to some very hard choices in the next 24-48 hours." |

Yeah Dude, Some partially Good News....
Been trying to avoid updating this wall as much as I have been, as it seemed that one day things would be going one way and the next it would be different.
Michael had further surgery yesterday to remove a small amount of dead tissue. We have not had word with the surgeons as yet, but when I saw him today the bloating in his body had gone down somewhat, his colour is a little more normal and his heartrate is down to 74 - which is a big difference from last week where it was up to 120. We are still hopeful that he is going to make it through this, no matter how long it takes.
Just hope I don't have to take these words back tomorrow (or any time soon)

not meaning the pic to come out as funny but it is true. i've seen a couple statuses on fb where ppl are starting to be ugly to each other, and arguing on ridiculous things. this is not the time to indulge ourselves in personal quarrels or be anal about the little things. a great man has passed away, and we should focus on what mikey has given to us, and how he's been an asset to a scene that for many yrs ppl have said was dwindling. and that he will be greatly missed |
